Morning,
Stayed up 'til yon time watching the Starsky and Hutch movie..........its hilarious.

You know that's like forcing booze on people is on a par with forcing a vegan to eat a rare steak. My friend can nurse half a lager most of the night and only get a fresh one when its gone flat and warm. Tbh back in the day I've forced/coerced some into having more than they should.

Off to the shops as they're all closed on Sunday and we'll starve if we don't buy enough food to last until the next millennium.

Evening all,
Off to see a comedy stall and eat Italian food. It will, however, involve showering, dressing and leaving the house and for those reasons I started going cold on the idea about lunch time. Never mind, tickets bought so off we go.

Easter breaks are great - especially the part about celebrating when Jesus and Mary started dating and gave each other a Disney themed egg. Or is it when the 12 dudes all went out for a massive dinner and a piss up and got their photo painted?

Jenny's partner's Grandad (he's 99) is very,very poorly in hospital with a severe chest infection so may not be seeing them this weekend.
So I have free food for many.........you know the secret knock on the back door.
Going to re-pot my cactuses (cacti?)

I for one am forever grateful to those who work weekends and public holidays. Many nurses and caregivers, barmaids, policemen and many others that don't fit the 9-5 in our clan.
I'd sing you a lullaby but my singing would give you nightmare.

Good morning everyone and happy Easter. We are a small bunch this holiday. Know Mary was off but don’t remember her saying she was going away. Enjoy your visitors JC. Just myself and hubby here but roasting small turkey and doing a lot of the trimmings.

Had a fantastic hike yesterday and started power washing, such a rewarding job. Might do a little today or maybe not. Have a lovely day everyone.

Absolutely fecked. I think I have to accept I'm getting too old for that job. I've lost patience .... :rant:
It's a constant barrage from the minute you sit at the desk. Nurses want, residents want, families want, all this while trying to stop mobile residents from sneaking out the door.
To top this they give you intensive computer work that requires concentration - impossible to do.
I've told them numerous times - but they are not listening - so I'm refusing to do it today again.

On the home front YS is drinking again. Not 'mad' stuff but still drinking.

He's ensconced in my mother's house and says he has never been happier.


Why not ...... he can isolate there and do as he pleases.
This 'experiment' can go either way .... we'll see :egad:

Night Bridge..
Off now until Wednesday. Conversation came up in work today about drinking and a colleague asked me what I drank, I said I dont, and this ping ponged on for a while, nothing at all?, not even a glass of wine? blah blah. Hes a really nice guy but I think he was so shocked that he blurted out (on front of 2 others), are you a recovering alcoholic or something! I said no (sorry self) no, just happier not to do hangovers etc etc. They had many questions

Thanks for being so candid Mers. I get that a lot - but choose to think if they ACTUALLY thought I was an alcoholic they would not say "are you a recovering alcoholic or something!" - that's how warped it all is. It means you've left the realms of 'having the craic' to not being able to 'hold your drink' .............
In this country an alcoholic is still akin to a leper. You, Mary, do not fit the mould of an alkie.

You just do not advertise it ..... it will be forever a tag.
Certainly not one I want ....
So we play the game .. until we can no longer play the game like YS and everyone speaks in hushed tones when talking about 'his problem'.

Morning.
Visitors, for 3 days instead of 2. They are great and unusually do not drink which is v refreshing (last night we we're doing Easter egg clues and nearly woke everyone up at midnight laughing so much - only Mr m, who had had a few beers, didn't get the jokes, ironic!) but it's full on with the smalls, so having a sneak on here on my phone.
