I ws trying to make notes so I coud answer everyone but I keep getting interrupted so here is a hodgepodge. Ha, ha
Liz – I hope you have a nice time with your company. Are they staying with you all weekend? How's your headache? Eek, that is a nightmare about still working at hospital!
Bird – that is really cool, the pine needle baskets. I’m sure you could totally sell them. That is just so exciting about your daughter’s. Amazing young women raised by an amazing woman.
Pauly – I laughed about your booger green nails. I am sorry about your Dad’s mom. You said that you overslept, well I slept in until 10:30 this morning!
NoSugar – talking about our grey/white hair........I thought mine were highlights until I suddenly noticed I had a white streak down my head.
Rusty – nice that you were working locally but sounds busy. How sweet that you can take your friends mom with you and that you can all celebrate together.
Glassie - what is going on in your world? Did you get your study the way you wanted it?
Things are going ok here. Pretty lazy day. The sun keeps hiding behind clouds but a nice day."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

I would like one of those white shocks in the front, NoraC, like Stacey on What Not to Wear. My hair is short so to color it would mean dumping chemicals on my head every couple months so I’m going with the “aging gracefully” :rolleyes-new: approach for now... we’ll see how I feel when they are more obviously not highlights!
Have a great weekend, Steppers!

Good Morning, Friends and Happy Sunday!
I am off to MN in a few hours so I just wanted to say HELLO! I will be back late Tuesday night
NoSugar, when my mom was only 36 years old, she had a gray streak of hair about 3 inches wide, which obviously showed because she was a brunette who wore her hair in a bouffant. That gray she had naturally (probably because she had 5 kids, 13 and under) was the IN style back then, and women would pay big $$$$ to have that gray streak dyed into their hair.
Waves of hellos to my other friends here... techie, Nora, Liz, Pauly, bird, Glassie, abcowboy and anyone I missed...Happy AF Sunday!

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
I was out of it all day yesterday. Pauly, you were so right about sleeping so late. Just felt yucky and couldn't snap out of it. But, I guess my body did need the sleep. I took a nap on Friday when I got home after the dr and then still slept so late.
But, I got up at 7:30 this morning and finally feeling more with it.
Rusty - have a safe drive. Enjoy the time with your friend.
Pauly - so exciting that Romeo took his first step. :yay:"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
Hi all,
So I couldn't stand the itchy thing anymore and went to the minute clinic at cvs. I am running a little fever. She thinks it is psoriasis and gave me prednisone. I think I will go back to the smoothie thing I was doing. Maybe that will get rid of it...ordered a book, Never Enough. The Neuroscience of Addiction. It is supposed to be very good. We shall see. My basket stuff didn't come in, it said it would be here yest and was not. Hopefully tomorrow....Paulie, that is very exciting about Rom walking. My girls never would let go of that couch. 15 months for both of them......Nora, glad you are feeling more with it.....N.S. I used to play in a band with a guy with a white streak. His mother had one too. Looked awesome....Rusty, safe travels...Liz, what did you do today?.....

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
Hey friends! Pauly, how neat Romeo is walking! Oversleeping does set the tone for the whole day, doesn't it?
Rusty, safe travels and enjoy your time with your friend and her mom. How cool your mom had that streak in her hair! I guess it is like a birthmark, but so unique!
Bird, my BIL was recently diagnosed with psoriasis. They told him it can be brought on by stress! He is using prescription Meds/creams and it is manageable but not completely gone. Do you think the fever is related? You have been going a hundred miles an hour. I know how emotional all that is with the girls, but enjoy the ride! You've got so much to be proud of.
Nora glad you're feeling better today! Have you seen the baby recently? How is work going?
My weekend was a whirlwind. Hubby's birthday celebration was fun. Erin and Logan slept over last night. Today after church we went to a sort of going away party for hubby's aunt. She is moving to Georgia in about 2weeks. Family is getting smaller. I highlighted Erin and my hair. Omg and now I'm tired! NoraB we would love to have you join us here!
Hope everyone has a great AF Sunday night

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
Hi all,
Liz where in GA is hubs aunt moving. North Ga is very nice if it is there. Sounds like your weekend was as busy as mine....maybe the psoriasis is from stress. I am very worried about my drinking friends coming to visit for graduation. Or it could be the large amount of not so good food I have been eating. Not sure about the fever. Started the pred today, it seems somewhat better.....went to a senior recital today with dd2, one of her friends, a viola player. Very nice...hot as hell here today and humid.....later, happy Monday..

bird, his aunt is moving to Waleska GA, which I believe is outside of Atlanta? Her grandson moved there, got married. Then her daughter moved to be closer to the grandson and now she's going to be by her kids. It was pretty warm here today too. Did you have the air conditioner on yet? I was inside all day working. OMG! So busy. The picture of you daughter was so nice. You've got so much going on.
Waves to Pauly, Rusty, Nora and Glassie. Hope you all had a great day

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
Hi all. It was hot here today too.
I just am so tired of being a broken record but it is so hard to take the attitude at work. I really had to take deep, deep breaths to try to calm down.
But, that is over and I am one more day closer to retirement.
Onto happier things......
Casey sent a couple pics of Savannah. She had crawled over into the dining area and pulled herself up on the bench. Stood on tiptoes to look in a grocery bag and started getting into it. It has started. :rotlf:
Bird - I'm just so happy for you & your daughters.
Ok - time to put Mom to bed.
Hope everyone found a reason to smile today xxoo"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
Hi all,
Raining here and off and on all night, the garden must have grown 6 inches overnight. Didn't sleep much, I think that prednisone had me wired, got up in the middle of the night and arranged closet hehe. Had to turn the air on for a bit yesterday. Almost finished sorting all the old papers and stuff, maybe I can finish that today, it is a big mess spread all over the beds and couch........Nora, that is cute about Savannah looking in the bag. Will be getting around all over now. Sorry work was bad, seems that place is just like the place I worked.........Paulie, 90 ugh. Think it was in the 80s here......Liz, yes I think Waleska is up N. of atl. Not far from my little trip with the big waterfall. Nice vid of Logan and the toothbrush ....have a great day all...

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2019
Hey everyone! Nora, sorry you had another tough day at work. I'm glad you're finding reasons to smile! How sweet Savannah is getting into things already! Yep, a whole new ball game, but such joy!
Pauly, you sound happy!
BIrd, I'm sure the prednisone effects your sleep! How long will you be on it? I'm sure once you start tapering the dose, that will help. It sounds like your really getting through that paperwork, OMG, you are like the energizer bunny! It was raining here a bit this afternoon too.
Erin stayed over for dinner tonight as Dan had a hockey game after work, I must admit, Logan ran us ragged today! we talked to CJ and Joe on skype. Logan was so stinking cute, he was kissing "jo jo" on the iPad! They are doing well and honestly I miss them more each day. I found some reasons to smile today, but honestly today was a tough one. Fake it till you make it, right? I was talking to TS today. I am sure I have mentioned my niece and this person she met through the game she was playing online. Well my niece is moving to ohio the end of this month and moving in with this individual. They are planning to marry Labor Day weekend. This has been a long tumultuous process for TS and her family. Not much about this situation seems promising, but my niece needs to live her life and figure things out on her own. Anyway, that has been weighing heavy on us as of late.
Rusty, how was your trip and visit with your friend? Sometimes I envy your travel work schedule.
GLassie, hope you're ok and just busy!
