Mr S is delighted with his new eyes! He can see so well and cannot believe the difference its made!

Yes, I cannot believe that at 55 we are both experiencing seemingly old age problems but hey ho we will get them sorted and like rustop says, off we go again!

Mat girl is doing great Mary, made a huge difference having her there and taking half the load. Still some training to do but she uses her initiative and is great at the job. I thoroughly recommend the 3 day week. Anything else feels inhumane I went in yesterday and there was stress stress stress from one of the other managers. I felt for her

Good morning everyone. That’s great news Starty, if it can be fixed why suffer. We all hate going to the Doctors, even if it is only screening but we are dealing with it and that’s the main thing. Tell you what two days are even better than three lol. Today is my Friday so better get a move on and get ready. Beautiful sunny morning, cool but bright. Just in from a walk with the doggies, great way to start the day. Are you still running Mary? Doing the mini marathon?

Morning,
This apartment is amazing. It's HUGE. Over two floors. Back looks out over Kelso Abbey,the front over the town square.
Funnily enough the lady who owns it (probably in her mid 50s) only seven weeks after the big op and as fit as a flea.
Wonder if it's more common joint replacement thing as it's safer, very successful and saves an awful lot of money on pain management, physio, endless sick days.
Watched The Greatest Showman last night. I :heartbeat: it.
Just pootling around the town today. Too tired for much else.

Yep, still running, 3 or 4 times a week [MENTION=15758]rustop59[/MENTION], cheaper than therapy! Cant do the mini marathon that weekend, but signed up again for Dublin in Oct. Are you doing the mini?

Bohemian Rhapsody last night. :heartbeat:
Checked out most restaurants. Prolly the one nearest where we know the food is excellent. My brother had is wedding reception there and the food was fab.
Just a Chinese take out last night. Prolly have the left overs for breakfast.
The weather is glorious.
Found a hat shop yesterday and we're back in a couple of weeks as the lady who runs it is going to make me one for the big day. Got to bring my dress and shoes up. Posh or what????

Late check in, been going all day. Daughter had the day off so wanted to go shopping! Delighted you are enjoying yourself JC, much deserved. No running for me Mary, I never got into it. Walk the doggies every day and hill walking, that’s it. Climbing Mweelrea on Saturday, it will be a tough one and the weather is promised good. Anyway just wanted to pop in and say good night.

Good morning everyone. Forgot to mention the hat JC, very posh. Bought nude shoes yesterday on sale and three quarter length trousers. It was daughter who was looking. She wanted pretty day dress for christening that is coming up. She’s very small and fussy so no joy. Either too dressy, too casual or more for going out at night. Always the same when you are looking for something in particular. We did Kildare village yesterday. Think we are hitting Dundrum tonight. Will eat out so that’s a bonus.

Another glorious weather day. It's surprised the pair of us as we'd packed for dismal. All I've worn is a t-shirt and cut off jeans.
We're not big walkers....more strollers but the stroll by the river Tweed, watching the fishermen, noses pressed on estate agents windows, trek around Llid must have seen us do a fair few miles. Spent an age in the Abbey's graveyard. Fascinating wondering what their lives were like.
Too tired to eat out. Can't be bothered to get changed. Just gone for some nice bread, cheese and sliced meats. Had a take out as well.
Off to see my brother and his missus for lunch.
My outfit is fairly neutral so going for something slightly unusual/beautiful for the hat.

Hope your daughter got sorted this evening Rustop. Its funny time of year for buying, not quite summer, not quite winter. I feel her pain

Bug running through my extended family (2 days in bed) .. they are dropping like flies. Myself and middle child feeling suspiciously odd. Oh well..

Morning all! Your break sounds fabby Jax, delighted you are having a good time.

Mary, sorry about the bugettes that are around, hopefully will be gone soon.

Mr S is still off work and feeling great, he has not had a drink for a few weeks and is very keen to be healthy, I even noticed he was carrying a water bottle around! Never seen that before :haha:

Off hiking with my friend this morning and hoping hip is not too sore, its been awful lately. In the night I got up to let a dogger out and it gave way on the stairs. Luckily managed to grab the hand rail.

Morning from the mournful.Back to reality today. We'll definitely be back.
Honestly, Starteroo, you'll not know yourself after the op. (Think I've said that before) . Anyway it was only after the op that Mr JS realised how much pain he was in and trying to hide it. Even with this glitch it's not been painful just a bit awkward.

Mers, I'll bring you back some tartan paper hankies. Self care this weekend.

Rustles, delighted about the dress. Had Jenny on the phone last night in melt down about what to wear for the wedding. Shes short on funds as well. She's up home for a couple of days half term, so we'll have trawl around.

Got to nip out to get some scotch pies and some shortbread for ma & pa in law.
