image.jpgHow was everyone's Monday! NoraC how is your new schedule working out. I don't think you mentioned it? Has it been helping you. Are you and hubby feeling any better? bird, how's the weather down by you today?
Still hot and humid here. There are storms right now, pretty severe. Hopefully it will cool things off! Tessa is beginning to come out of her shell. She barked today for the first time. Going to lunch tomorrow at the hospital with my former coworker, Ann. Kinda looking forward to it but anxious I may run into some I do not want to.
Hope you all have a great AF Monday night!

Quick check in from me.
Hope you're feeling better today Bird.
I fell out of bed last night :rotlf: Woke up as I was slipping to the floor. How funny is that? I told hubby that he pushed me.

Have a happy, happy day everyone!!!

Re: One Step at a Time - July 2019

bird, boy do I remember my girls worrying about their bfs. Alls well that ends well. They both got through those tumultuous dating years. So far both marriages seem to be working well. What do they say? Absense makes the heart grow fonder. I know, you can't tell kids anything. Just be supportive and there to pick up the pieces, it's what moms do, right?
NoraC, glad you didn't get hurt! I once fell out of the top bunk bed and never woke up! I could attribute that to drinking, but I was a mere child and a solid sleeper, still am. Daddy picked me up and put me back, this time with a larger bed rail!
Pauly, how was work today? I didn't much feel like working either. Thankfully dr. is on vaca, AGAIN! Just a lot of paperwork and billings.

Tessa was unusually misbehaved today. Getting to know us and get more comfortable. She has accidents and if u look her in the eye she gets frightened and has a small nervous pee. Confinement, consistency are key so I'm told. We praise her and give her a treat when she does her business outside, but by the look in her eye, she doesn't have a clue why.
I had s tough day today with the cravings. Really bad, close as I have been in a while! I managed to distract myself. On the upside my bathrooms are spotless.
Anyway hope everyone had agreed AF Wednesday. Mark has a play date with Tessa and a coworkers dog. Quiet here, so off to unwind a bit.

Happy Friday. NoraC so glad you got to spend some time with your grand daughter. Is she walking yet?
Went to a WFS meeting last night. It was a pretty good crowd, which was nice. FaceTimed with CJ and Joe. They are enjoying time with my sister and brother in law. Spent a long time outside tonight. It's just a lovely evening. Tessa has had a bad day training wise, but we have caught her doing her business outside and rewarded her for that. We are working on simple commands and she seems to have gotten the "sit"
She was actually playful with us tonight which really was a first. I think she is warming up to us. Baby steps.
Hope you all had a great AF Friday!

Re: One Step at a Time - July 2019

Good Morning!
NoraC-I am SOOO glad you got to play with your little one! You were well overdue for some extra time with her.
Lizann-how wonderful that you go to WFS meetings. I am very proud of your commitment to sobriety. Ahhhh…...Tessa must love her new home. It sounds like she's making progress.
bird-did you get your deck painted?
paulywogg, Pauly….are you working today?
Glass Half Empty....I hope you are enjoying your new grandson.

Busy day for me...grocery shopping as I am making dinner for my mom and we are going to church this afternoon.

Happy AF Saturday to all!

Howdy Steppers! Figured I'd pop in today and deliver a cake for a dear friend who's celebrating a sobriety birthday today!

Huge congratulations NoraC!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

abcowboy - thank you so much for my cake. You are always so very thoughtful.

Thanks again everyone.

I'm having a lazy day. Mom is restless and not feeling well so I'm hanging with her. She's finally asleep for a bit.

I am covered in flea bites. Aarrgghhh I just hope that Mom doesn't get another bite. She scratches until she is in bad shape.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day.
