I have been in bars where teams of bikini clad women came in promoting certain alcohol brands. None of them were bloated, bruised or had bags under their eyes.
Maybe I was just drinking the wrong thing...

Re: The Physical Signs...How did you know you were in trouble?
Thank you for this post. I’ve had most of what was mentioned, but I think it would be good to list for myself anyhow...
Spider veins in face
Bloated belly
Foggy brain
Blotchiness
Weight gain
Tired, red glassy eyes
Heavy snoring
Liver pain
Bad breath
Anxiety
Depression
Itchy skin
Acid reflux
Red palms (I read due to liver damage)
Swelled hands
Heartburn
Gastrointestinal issues/irritable bowel
Sleep apnea (don’t know for sure yet but believe result from al abuse)
Restless leg (again, not sure as I’ve had this since I was 38)
Vitamin deficiencies
Sweating (double whammy with menopause)
Easy bruising
No quality of sleep
Super bad dreams
Low self esteem, no confidence
Lack of energy, no energy, lack of motivation
Using all my sick days
Sandpaper mouthLast edited by jvo; August 10, 2019, 02:33 PM.

Bet everyone on here had some or most of those symptoms
Jesus and we thought we were happy ? Getting away with it - pretending to be normal - fooling everyone ?
FFS madness !!

Re: The Physical Signs...How did you know you were in trouble?
Hot flushes! Acidic sweating hangovers!
Acid reflux! One of the main problems!
Snoring and sleep apnoea!
How could I forget these little pleasures?
How about high blood pressure? Anyone? I'm almost off medication for good now.
And those bikini clad providores of doom? Maybe their bottles should carry a few warnings.....drink responsibly or wake up looking like this:

Great thread bj! I went through pretty much what others have said - very scary- it just slowly builds up and it’s so hard to stop no matter what the symptoms are.
The psychological aspects are horrible as well.Last edited by fluff; August 22, 2019, 04:53 PM.It's always YOUR choice!

Bleeding ulcers causing me to vomit blood.
ER doctor: ‘Have you been drinking heavily tonight?’ Me: ‘No, why do you ask?’ :uncomfortableness:
