Just found out Mr JC's Great Granddad was Irish, his Granny was Scottish...........just waiting for him to produce a leek from his pocket so he can claim a bit of Welsh.

Nearest I can claim to be a teeny bit foreign is my forefathers came from Devon/Cornwall about a squillion years ago.

Well that was an unexpected result --- phew... onwards so.. we can only get the Irish games here on tele - bastards have all the other matches on a premium channel -- fecked if I'm going to pay anymore for my Sky - costs a fortune as it is -

Think we've all got self-esteem issues when it comes to our own countries. I'm trying to get Mr JC to go next door watch the match...........don't like watching England.
That's ridiculous. Mind you the BBC are in a proper huff because ITV has got all the games. We just have to put up with a thousand and one Guinness adverts between games and or flogging of our homes to release equity. Prolly seems like a good idea after you've consumed all the Guiness and got an empty pocket.

I am now spending a thrilling Sunday looking at curtains.

ohhhhh you little GENIUS Jacks -- don't have ITV - was looking for the sports channels -- BUT -- we have ITV on our dodgybox!!! watching England Tonga as we speak!!! I think if Tonga didn't put so much energy into their Haka (spl) they may have more for the match!!! now -- there's another song that drives me friggin MAD!! swing low etc.!!!
No I s'pose we expected to win - but jeez the last few games we've played have been pretty dire.. we were THROUNCED by England and just about beat Wales so... mm - well they certainly turned up today! Good luck in this one - should be a walk over after what yiz did to US!!!

Errrrrrrrrrm 10 mins in and its a draw.
I'm ashamed/mortified to admit that I missed Jonny Wilkinson's epic drop kick way back to win the world cup when as I was absolutely sh*t faced. Let's just say I started earlier than the others.
I had to pretend for years how fabulous the moment was. Thank god for re-runs.

Do you remember ceefax and teletext?........you could get the plot & vaguely what happened in the program when in reality it may have been on but nothing was going into the brain.
