Logged back for a quick post, just to say joining this site was one of the best decisions I ever made.. I would have avoided AA for a long time and would have slid further down the rabbit hole - without a doubt.
But instead I met the best bunch of alco's who gave me a kick up the arse when I needed it and said all the right things when I arrived here, scared and a bit broken.
I'll be thinking about yiz tomorrow :love:

Allergies have reached epic proportions here. Probably the worst ever. Great excuse to have a comatose weekend. Are you not doing daylight savings any more? That's a shame. It's a really productive time of year - when not crippled with hay fever.
I'm glad you didn't go to the work do Mary. Our time is too precious to do things that don't serve us. Time to be a bit 'selfish' - but it's not selfish.

Rustop, just wondering, did you do much walking when you were drinking? Or is this a new thing? Because that is a lot of miles you are up to this weekend and I just can't imagine how you did it back in the day. Minding my own business as usual...

So glad your renos are coming to a close for the season JC. Enough is enough for now. You'll have a lovely fresh house to get around in this winter.

Mary that is so tricky. Anything could be going on there. Can you imagine all of the children stuck in hell at home with a drunk or drug abusing parent or parents? Mine saw enough, I can tell you, but were looked after well apart from my ridiculous alcohol abuse. Drinking beer at 10.30am? Sure why not, nothing wrong with that:sad:

Clocks went back last night so we've got an extra hour. So I've decided with to tidy the fridge.
Just heard from Jenny and her BF is finding it awfuly difficulty watching todays rugby as I said before he can't differentiate between red and green.
Obviously us being English in this house we're cheering for South Africa
All that's left to do is put a new seal on the big window at the top of the stairs and get the blind done, but they're quick and in and out the house in an hour.
Oh and the split on one of the kitchen tops and flooring.
But nothing that's going to disrupt us too much and I can handle that without hiding behind the settee.

Played in Dingle and a few joints on the west coast. Pulled into a pub with instruments and there began a session. Soon enough, out came the pints, then the sandwiches. It's beautiful to be sure. Can't wait to return. Safe travels Satz.

Morning All
Hayfever got the better of me so I'm taking a day off work today. Dad spent the weekend watching sport as well. The footy (the same match) and some women's netball team which I thought was bizarre for a man but he was enjoying it so that's all that matters.
Anyway, determined not to just sit around all day. Funny how you absolutely abhor wasting time once you are sober.

Mary should be off to New York today. Tomorrow your time, so have a good time girl!

And when is the grandughter going to that specialist for her sense of smell again? I've been thinking a lot about the little cherub and what could be happening.
