    Super Sober Shout Out October 13th 2019

    Thanks for starting us off last week, [MENTION=21602]abcowboy[/MENTION]

    I'd like to see a big SUPER SHOUTY OUTY SUNDAY from members who have been here a while, those just starting out again or those just starting out for the very first time.........don't forget to shout LOUD AND PROUD...

    Don't be shy and give it a try...........remember each and everyone one of us here started with a day one!!!!


    SHOUT IT LOUD AND SHOUT IT PROUD. STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE ONE AND ALL. LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TOGETHER

          It is 2303 days from my DAY 1 -
          proud doesn't even cover it - I am ecstatic when I think of how long I tried, to get a day 1.
          How much money I spent on books, hypnosis, pills etc to fix my 'little problem'.
          How I envied [MENTION=8529]mollyka[/MENTION], [MENTION=7008]JackieClaire[/MENTION] [MENTION=9170]byebyebridgetjones[/MENTION] et al their contented alcohol-free new lifestyles.

          I hated the tag of alcoholic but until I surrendered to the fact that I had an addiction to alcohol - that if I had one I had to keep going - nothing was happening.
          Being a mature lady it was not easy to admit this - so, for me, MWO was perfect medium to meet like-minded people.

          NEVER GIVE UP TRYING !!!

                4 years and 9 months of living life with a whole new outlook on the future...

                    Yes, [MENTION=9094]satz123[/MENTION], it wasn’t easy to wrap my head around the fact that I had become addicted to alcohol, when I used to not be! Although, I was always very needy around it. I love coming here where I feel less alone in this.

                          Day 1465 for me or FOUR YEARS and 3 days!!!!! WootWoot!! Just such a great feeling! I'm almost at the end of a very satisfying weekend. Getting things done around the house yesterday, then shopping and lunch with two of my closest friends and an evening with my special friend. Went to a festival today with friends and out for coffee by the sea afterwards. Home now to relax(?) - bake a cake, do the dishes and mop the floors. Boring but also enjoyable when you're not hung over and your mind isn't constantly on how many hours before you can have that first drink of the evening. So shouting out loud and proud - FREEEEDOM! - from all things related to being addicted to AL!! Bring on the new week - Stirly is ready!!!! :spin:
