JC...I didn't know what briary meant either. Now I have a new word for some of the not so pleasant people in my life. Thankfully, there are only a few! Skiing pigs...love it!

Nora...I don't know how you work and take care of your Mom as well. I hope that you have someone to help you. As your quite aware I'm sure, being a caregiver can be exhausting. :distress:

Hello Army,Jack's I LOVE the pig on skis! I'm a pig person so I can appreciate it,Happy Anniversary! Satz,well done on the 5 pounds that's awesome! Bridget,so sad about the fires and I hope no new ones spark up Nora, nothing wrong with candy crush I remember when it first came out and I was so addicted I would let people in front of me in the grocery line just so I could keep playing haha,waves to all!

Yes Judy I'm liking WW. I think once you click with the 'leader' - and they are not complete bores - it's half the battle. I'm usually good at anything new - but then wane as I go. But we'll see. The accountability is why I go - a need to face up to it when I go off track.
WW is now a 'Wellness Workshop' and they have certainly kept up to date. The old saying 'a little of everything - does you good' could now be their motto.

Eat whatever you like Satzy - but you'll have to track it on your phone :egad:

Don't ....
My mother is thriving.... well - she has stabilized and 100% better than she was at home and if we were trying to juggle things.
I know by her she still wants to preserve her dignity & would hate for her kids to have to change her ,wash her etc. Much easier ( for everyone) if 'a nurse' does that.
She has 24 /7 care and lots of company , activities & visits.

But then that's us .... every family has it's own way ....

Good night everyone. Happy anniversary JC and congratulations on the weight loss Satz. Think you are right about clicking with the leader. I used to do ww but can’t seem to get motivated enough anymore.

Horrible horrible day here again, did manage to get short walk this afternoon but it was really dark. Chicken casserole for dinner and feet up in front of roaring fire. That’s the part I love about this time of year.

I wish they had smoked weed and chilled out a bit. Bloody hell. One person going off a the top of his lungs on the deck. Me with new neighbours. I'm sure they do it deliberately to embarrass me. Jesus I'm sick of all the tempers and demands. I might have a weekend off them next weekend and actually do what I want to do.

Don't know whether I might not be going back to Blue system, Satzy. Weighing and measuring the lot is getting a bit old. I'll let you know. I didn't go to meetings this time as I never did think they were particularly inspiring. Haven't got time anyway. All online for me if you get sick of going to the public library or scout hall....

Ingredients

white self-raising flour
4tbs

baking powder
2tsp

sugar-free maple flavoured syrup
1T

fresh dates
4individual

1 mashed banana

1T vanilla extract

carrot(s)
1medium grated

egg(s)
2medium

I think it's 160 degrees for 30 minutes

We don't do presents but in Aldi (you know that middle aisle where they sell crap) we found a dancing Reindeer that when you press his hoof he dances and sings Jingle Bells rock so Mr JC bought me one. Yes I may have the body of an older woman but the brain of a child sometimes.

We did brave town yesterday so he could have a look at the Christmas market. Despite the metro's being off, road works and the abysmal weather it was heaving by noon.

We've got to nip into Tesco as well if anyone wants anything. Just drop me a text.

Nearly wound up in Newcastle for new year..jilly and myself were organising a few days for 4 of us so I told her to pick cheapest flights came to a toss up between chester and Newcastle so she picked chester cos it has Roman walls ( didn't mention Hadrians Wall what I sat on with Mr JC benjy and yourself!!!)

YUMMY - I'll do that one tomorrow.
Today I will attempt to collect mother & bring her to DD new apartment in Dunlaoire - by the seaside for dinner.
She goes to the loo about 5 times per hour ....... No-one is sure if she ACTUALLY goes - not sure the body holds that much water :egad:

MrS is freaking 'cos last time she said she was going to wee in the seat of the car & he sped up a one-way street to get to a toilet. :haha:
