Just off from a phone call marathon with my Aunt. She's just back home from Boston,Massachusetts and full of news. The best news is my cousin, his missus and the Boston Babes are coming over in August..........they're ten years old this year. :egad:

Great idea on volunteering.

Yes please to curry leftovers. Yum. Even better the next day.
Y'know I have wondered over the years how many people came out of the psychologist's clinic worse off than when they went in. He came from a well known family of politicians and journalists. Old Dad is 'well known' for his arrogance and cavorting around with nubile women a fraction of his age. I suppose it's the example that is set to a large extent. Eventually he thought we should see other people. I think he thought 'we' meant 'he'. Not sure what the plan was to be for me. Possibly take up stamp collecting and wait at home for him to get it out of his system. Unfortunately, I did as instructed and promptly met my next boyfriend. He wasn't ready for that. 'Are we still going to see each other though?' 'Erm..... no. No, we're not'
Very exciting about the visitors there, JC. Haven't seen them for a long time?If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Morning and waves to the world.
Bridgeeee, did he do the Russian Doll thing? My last counselor used to put them out every time I saw him and ask which one was I felt like at that moment. To this day I have no idea why and too timid to ask. I'd sometimes get a nod and others just a 'mmmmmmmmmmmm'.
It'll be four years perhaps five since we've seen them. They were born three months premature and apart from needing glasses from a very, very early age there's been no other problems. Mind you, one has coeliac disease which has nothing to do with being premature.
Must get dressed for niece's tea and a slice of cake do. She's another little miracle. My SIL lost twins at six months pregnant and along came she a year later. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Afternoon all. Enjoy your tea and cake. JC. I’m with Mary Bridget, total knob! Beautiful morning here, heavy frost but bright and sunny morning. Had a lovely walk with all the doggies.
Finishing Unibomber so must have a read back to see what Molly was watching the other day.

Re: International Army - 2020 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Howdy Army,
Bridge - so happy that it is raining in Australia. A week ago we flew into Melbourne and then to Sydney; and it was horribly dry all over Victoria. And Sydney was horrible - very low visibility, people walking around with respiratory masks on, etc etc Hopefully the rain over the last couple of days will provide some respite anyway. That's a great idea about doing some plant propagation.
So I'm back home in NZ; and there is more rain that you can shake a stick at!! And I have been back at work for a week and have a serious case of post-holiday blues!! I've just finished washing and drying all my travel clothes ...... and now have to set about ironing work ones for the week. Like a lot of people on this thread I've been giving some serious thinking about retirement as well ....... but I have to build up a bit more in the way of retirement savings over the next couple of years to be able to do that.
I've lost count of the number of psychologists and therapists and counsellors that I've seen over the years. Give me a later with a good mate anytime!! Mind you I'm quite private, not very open and highly resistant to receiving help/assistance.
Gosh - what a lot of weddings coming up!! And congrats on the new job Jackie!
anyway, hope all the army have a happy day ahead!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Good Morning everyone (evening Miss and Bridge)
Mary Parkrun very busy here nearly 800 and the volunteers running out of tokens! Post New Years resolutions methinks.
Big hike yesterday in North Wales frosty and misty but we got up high enough to be above the clouds and it was gorgeous.
Yes, many psychologists are dangerous I have spent many years working amongst them and a great many enter the "profession" to work out their own shortcomings. Scary stuff sometimes.
Feeling tired this morning but always appreciate the lovely feeling of knowing I have a hangover free day ahead!

Morning,
Why is January sixth months long????? I don't really mind that the weather is dreadful and cold..........its meant to be in the Northern Hemisphere and I have a big coat and boots.
And why is it when you're just ticking along nicely and shit happens?
Who sang Life is a Roller Coaster? Whoever it was got it right.
Lovely afternoon with the in-laws yesterday............we'll only stay an hour ended up at 5 hours. It could be worse, I could be filing.
