Thats one wierd issue Jax.
Hits boyfriend with lamp - Boyfriend reports attempted murder, retracts it. Old bill take her to court and she is out on bail. Replaced on Love Island (No, I have never watched it but my daughter does) and then has no options left to her?

Sad. Very, very Sad.

The Pianna made me watch Love Actually for (probably) the millionth time tonight.

Winds are kicking up in the SE, again, two weekends in a row of power cuts coming up, I guess - Sun, Mon and Tues last week cuts iro 6 hours each.

The plus side is she gone to bed and I am re-watching Fargo on Netflix.

Hey M, I have a Genny, so I get exited with the power cuts. I have spent the last 40 years in the sticks of Essex and Suffolk so I am used to no power, dealing with that and also dealing with uk power networks, lolol. No internet is more of an issue and pain in the harris. Fortunatley BT seems to be very stable at the moment.

Morning all - what's the craic ?
Even after all these years I still will not take Sunday Morning hangover-free for granted.

Have 6 hangers-on for lunch today & took me just 30 seconds to agree to make it. Told them rough & ready roast beef & trimmings. No mad fancy stuff.
Old days :
a) Would have been too much effort - and panic to make sure it was PERFECT. Wine for me to get through the cooking of course :egad:
b) Would have maneuvered things so we'd be going out & ensure alcohol was involved.

Morning,
Mr. JC's taken love's young dream to the station and I must have done my 20K steps in less than an hour.............. Buddy can't half run quickly when he'd up to no good.

satz123...........what time's lunch and can we have onion gravy and Yorkshire puddings?

Baclofenman........I tried 40 seconds of Love Island............. I gave up. Worryingly the niece with anorexia/bulimia is very much influenced by that and other shows...........not sure how to put it..........the absolute complete shit of how a woman is supposed to look.

My Fave Fargo was the Billy Bob Thornton series..........its so gruesome and sooooooo funny.

Waves and throbs to all.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Hi Bacman! Never watched Love Island - and by the sound of it - never will ;-)
Don't ask anyone for food anymore - 'cept Christmas and maybe Easter -- certainly not to sit down food -- fair dues to you1

Think I've decided to officially let myself become a grumpy old woman:applouse: - think I've always been one but used to try and hide it. Love Island (from Jilly's description!) is exactly what Bridge described a certain generation as - lazy and entitled - these people think they are celebrities - they even describe themselves as such... a celebrity to me would be someone like David Bowie or Tom Hanks or J.K Rowling etc etc… people who've worked hard to EARN that title... and it's the media who allow them to think they are important folks... and then yeah - like Jackie says - what in god's NAME does it do to youngsters re. body image --- and sadly nowadays it's even 'not so young' -- the 'social media' generation are now heading to middle age - late 30's early 40's --- yup -- like it or not - that's what they are... so now -- that's my rant for today

How's everyone -- feet up eating breakfast - and utterly calm now that I've ranted my head off at all of youse lot haha

Afternoon all. Back from my cookery class and stuffed. Doing airport run in a few minutes so just a quick check in. I watched Love Island last summer with my daughter as I was nosy about the Irish girl. She was hilarious and made the show. Half watching it at the moment but it is a bit like watching paint dry. All so false and totally as Molly says.

Never heard of her until yesterday! I dont think Ive ever watched any reality TV, ever. Maybe that jungle one if we were flicking for a few minutes - then one of them starts to speak and no.. no interest.
Middle child did announce that she was going to start watching it, but she never did in the end.
They do watch loads of other shite though. Its all Tic Tock these days.

I know who Dennis is though, I love the weather reports

Mr M would love an excuse for his own Genny. Sadly for him, we dont get cut too often. I suppose there are parts of Ireland that are badly affected too.

It was called Recipes for the weekend Mary so supper, lunch and a main. They demonstrated and then we cooked in groups. It was in Catherine Fulvios place (Ballyknocken)which is not far from me. My gift also included a book. Have to say it was a lovely present and I got some nice recipes.

I just wanted to be Stevie Nick or Melanie. My mum would probably have said Doris Day or Rita Hayworth.

Absolutely zorsting having a young dog in the house and the worst thing is I've done something to my knee.............haven't a clue how that happened. I don't even run for a bus these days.
