Morning folks!! LURVE social distancing Bridge haha!! can't count the number of (old men in particular) people who lean right over the desk to gaze at my computer and splutterin and coughing all over me - about 6 ins from my face.. if I survive this I'll survive EVERYTHING!! I've decided now that since Donald Trump says he's NOT worried about Coronavirus that now I may begin to worry.. just a bit - but have to say it's sounding a bit hairy now.. apparently we are 9 days behind Italy so.... mmmm

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
Perhaps Trump is already wearing a mask...........just he's got one made to make him look just like himself.........cue spooky music.
byebyebridgetjones............I know a house with about over 28 rolls. My in-laws. We had stacks of the stuff in the shop and Mr JC thought he'd get some for them..........so did his sister. :egad:
I thought the lockdown in Italy meant no one could leave their house...........they're allowed out between 6am-6pm when the bars and shops will be open.
Right off to stick my head over a bowl of vaporub...........my head feels 20 times bigger than normal. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Afternoon everyone. Must check him out JC. I’m another one who will have no problem social distancing. Have the house full of plumbers at the moment, ugh. Will be glad when it is all over. Lots of painting will need to be done. Might take a leaf out of Marys book.

Where are you off to Molly? Be careful or you might not get back in!
I looked it up, Italy had 20 cases on Feb 21st, so we're a couple of weeks behind - if we do nothing. I would be surprised if they don't shut down the schools by Wednesday. We're spending out Brexit slush fund apparently.
Imagine if you were getting married next month, or had everything booked for an Italian wedding. Your DD's wedding is a bit off satz123?
Any drama yet from Paris JackieClaire?
Saw the Ozzy loo roll brawls Bridge, one sounded remarkably familiar :haha:
2 days is NOT enough to recover from the flu... chocolate + knickers day tomorrow/today
Rustop, where are you off to again?AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
Hello Army!
I hope you are feeling better JC.
I didn't read back much. I always get overwhelmed and end up not writing anything. LOL So, I'll just start from today.
I see that WHO has now declared a pandemic. Sigh.......
This brings all the crazies out for sure. Hoarding toilet paper?!? Seriously. What is wrong with people? :egad:
I have been doing ok.....trying to get used to retired life. Seems like I'm very busy now taking care of my Mom and decluttering my life. We have a garage full of 40 years of junk. We have given much to charity but so much was just garbage. Why in the world would I have kept it all these years?!? Anyway - it is nice to be getting rid of stuff.
Hope everyone is doing well."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
Morning,
IamMary.............they got an earlier ferry so got back late last night........they're all fit and well. I'll find out later the whole story but they're all fit and well but dog tired.
The kids on the trip aren't expected to go in but the teachers are.
NoraC.......... to you. Would you believe my parents-in-law went on a course on how to cope with retirement. With bowling (not 10 pins), volunteering, art courses, history course they were hard-pressed to pin them down to babysit.
mollyka............go away..........I don't mean push off from MWO. Go and enjoy yourselves. You haven't got any underlying chest problems so the likelihood you'll die is zero.
As far as I know the S&H and his bride are still of to Mexico tomorrow.
Do I still call her his bride even though they've been married 6 months?
And I still like to see some figures from our government about who has got seasonal flu.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
We probably will go Jacks - tbh I'm being selfish cos if we are told we must quarantine and I'm down for annual leave that I may lose those days leave for nothing... small problem in the scheme of things - but annual leave is PRECIOUS!!!
Don't know if you are reading regularly Nora or any other folks from the US -- is it true that people aren't being routinely tested for the virus unless they come in from a risky area.. because of the cost of testing? Or is that an urban myth? Can't imagine even Trump could be THAT stupid??Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
I guess she's always the bride JC.
Hello to Nora all the way from retirement! That sounds like a lovely mini break Molls.
Baha Mary. I promise I was nowhere near the loo roll slap down. This time.
Tom Hanks was good enough to blame us for his Covid-19 today I see. Hmmm. Today I was ordered a new laptop post haste. There is no money and we are under tight financial constraints but as the prospect of having people work from home looms, all of a sudden it's happening after years of needing one? My boss wiped my sick leave and converted it into 'working from home'. I swear I looked up 5 minutes later and there was the IT guy asking where this laptop was to be deployed. I have never seen anything, and I mean anything, happen so fast in that place. Then we'll be taking our laptops home every night just in case just as Mary was saying a few days ago.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
Good morning everyone. Enjoy your break Molly. We are off to Connemara again this weekend, just to the SIL and BIL’s. Might as well before we are in lock down. Popped into Tesco yesterday evening and the shelves were very bare. Could not get carrots of all things and they were demolishing a new delivery of toilet rolls. My friend had been in earlier and it was all gone. I need to do the weekly shop but think I’ll go this morning rather than later or there will be nothing left. Glad you got the laptop out of it Bridget.

Re: FORWARD -- MARCH --- ARMY March 2020
Good morning/evening. Bored to tears as the sun is shining and a perfect day to be outside. I cannot go out as I have been told I cannot weight bear due to my foot injury.
Luckily we live in the poverty stricken north of England so the supermarket shelves are still full. Mr A went shopping and got everything we need as because he is high risk will probably be staying put in the house.
He is doing so much better now but still having treatment with more surgery booked for the end of March.
Both Connemara and Kerry sound wonderful.
Bridget Is Australia going to ban European flights?
How is the earache Jackie? Will the SIL and the bride be travelling through the US ?
Hiya everyone else!

brit............from the poverty in the NE of England the food banks are full of stuff.............which is either nice or either tragic if you think about the wealth in the UK.
Luckily we have the NHS...........might not be the best but its free to everyone.
The earache comes and goes. Fine until about an hour before the next painkillers and I loathe/hate using the nasal spray. And I'm walking round with a whiff of vapour rub
The newest version of Mr & Mr. JC are/were (still haven't heard from them & tbh daren't ask) traveling from here to Paris then onto Mexico City. They've got travel insurance.
byebyebridgetjones ............surely that can't be legal????It could be worse, I could be filing.
