OH --- and to all you readers out there --- anyone who wants an epic read if somewhat isolated.... reading Hilary Mantel The Mirror and the Light -- it's the last in the Wolf Hall trilogy -- it is FABULOUS -- it is a seriously big book - I'm a fast reader and I'm still not half way through it a week later... best money you'll ever spend (seeing as the frigging library is closed.... SORRY FOLKS) -- HUGE recommendation here -- amazing writing - you'd fall into the words

Good morning everyone. Think you are right Molly, myself and a friend were only saying the same thing this morning. Apart from a walk in the woods have not been anywhere since last week. However daughter has been dealing with the public in work so what can you do. Decided not to go to the funeral tomorrow of a neighbor from home, it would be irresponsible at this stage. Know of some people who are trying to make their way home, don’t envy them, strange strange time.

Strange indeed rusters -- was reading an article yesterday about life in Pennsylvania in 1918 - Spanish flu- so many dying they were putting bodies out to be collected in truck things... that's only 100 years ago - like -- my father was born in 1911 so it was in his lifetime -- my hysteria sets in occasionally in my head and then I just remember the 90%+ who get this and they are fine... so ooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - but we ALL must play the game as best we can... wish I could find hand sanitizer tho - none in the house -- loads at work but not robbing that... Dettol it is at the mo.

EDIT -- just planted out cabbage, peas, lettuce, carrots, onions, garlic, scallions and loads of different herbs -- my potatoes are chitting and I put in a MASS of primroses - so just delighted with myself -- Joe is cleaning down the patio now and I've my feet up :victorious:

Agree with this Molls - it's a great leveller. Gets everyone back to basic human kindness. Keeps the drunks out of the pubs - less wife beating - less A&E messers - and we have to learn to amuse ourselves & our kids .... probably a baby boom next year.

10 cases of COVID-19 in the Nursing Home I work at. Total lockdown. I haven't been in since last week but due in this weekend :egad:
I DID steal hand sanitiser Molls - but it's for the greater good - they had millions - and it was last year but now coming in handy.

It's the carers I really feel sorry for - they want to work to help the old folk & get paid to feed their kids - but are sent home as soon as they sneeze and told not to come back till they get tested and given no pay. It's like an 18th Century workhouse.

Molls I reckon you will be re-deployed as a truck driver for the Army dropping food parcels ( put chocolate in mine)

Good morning Campers! Grandchidren have got the virus or at least probably. High temperatures and hacking coughs, not had any contact with them however their parents were doing our shopping and now they are all in isolation.

Good news is that my ankle is healing well and I was able to get out on a solitary but beautiful walk at 7 am. Local market and food shops have offered to do a free delivery service just need to phone.

Listened to a bit of the new Hilary Mantel book on book at bedtime--Sounds terrific so I must order it today!

I truly am loving this isiolation thing. Me & me dogger.
I really am a loner - delighted not to have to go anywhere or meet anyone. ( is that bad)
The odd trip out to germ-ridden Tesco avec my hand sanitiser or down to Dr Dreamy :kisses:

MrS is like a caged animal - always wants to be be doing ..... so last night I put him in front of Netflix with 'Stranger' - he's hooked.

Hello everyone. Nothing exciting here. Found out my order of exam gloves was cancelled because they were out of stock. Found some in a different size so hope this order goes thru. I definitely use those when helping Mom in the loo.
I am currently cleaning out closets and going thru more totes. I don't remember if I told you but I have been hoarding for 42 years. LOL I didn't need to keep everything! So, I have gotten really good at saying - give it away, I don't need it.
We have some sun today so that helps my mood.

Molly - I've been having the same thoughts 'before and after'. I do think our lives have changed and hopefully for the better. But, I did see one headline where people were standing in line to buy guns here. That made me sick. But, I also saw on our community facebook page where people were offering diapers, wipes for people who needed it. So there are wonderful people out there.

Well - back to cleaning.

JC - please be careful going out. You should stay home and let Mr JC pick up what you need.
