    We can boast about empty nests :haha:

    See those feathers - they represent the shite that my two left behind - old school books, folders of papers, clothes - that I will tackle now i'm housebound ....

        I don't really have an empty nest - separate front doors - but to all intents and purposes Jilly and Tilly are 'in' our home... and with Joe coughing since last year.... I've become semi-hysterical cos if he gets it it'll probably be me bringing it in to him!
        French --- I loved French when I was younger - and freshened up on it last year (spoken... NOT written!!! and definitely not grammar!) cos we were planning on bringing the bike over there.. never got round to it... do think it's a fabulous language tho..

          It's AMAZING how it comes to you ut of nowhere Jacks. I was in the dunce class for French but an old nun - one of the kind ones - managed to 'bate' it into me somehow to pass exams and it's obviously still there

              Has he had it checked Molls ? Asthma maybe ?

                We've a family wedding in June in Portugal - I'm assuming that'll be cancelled ???

                      Is it selfish to be happy not to live in a huge metropolis like London? Just 10 minutes away is just the countryside?

                          No -- it's since he had the 'mystery' virus a year ago - was in intensive care isolation for a week in Beaumont hospital -- affected his lungs and heart -- they gave him an 'all-clear' - was always suspicious that they just wanted rid of him - and he's had a dry hollow cough ever since...

                            Agree with you - and same here - very anxious about re-deployment tho and where they may want to send me.. using public transport etc.... not a happy bunny --- and THAT is selfish!!!

                              How's anout asking for car-parking fees???

                              Our public transport ...reduced service, but spotless............the nurses and other hospital workers just can't afford cars.
