Great news on the erection :welldone: JackieClaire!
Plus your sons job, good for him.
Sounds like Mr A is really doing well if hes on cooking duty brit.. thats fantastic. We are dogless too and the poo puts me off. Well, there is a list. Not having much spare time is on top.
WHat kind of a dog is it Molly?
Rustop, you'll be worn out! but I bet you wont want to part with him either...
Things are really starting to get back to a bit of normality again. I have to say, not being able to socialise in the usual way, really takes the pressure off not drinking, or making excuses for not drinking. We had a massive family reunion planned in July, which is a tricky one to navigate. I get an extra year now before I have to think about it!
Hair situation is now dire. Moved from headbands to hats.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

It's marvellous.
God forgive me - but I get an extra 12 months to think about DD wedding even though I had all my gear bought. No worries about what to wear - only the worry of getting into it :haha:
And I will....

I can understand family reunions can be a marathon - and a pain in the arse after the initial excitement - then boredom will set in ....
but do your family / friends STILL ask you about drinking?Last edited by satz123; June 18, 2020, 03:17 AM.

Re: International Army June 2020
Morning everyone. Delighted you are getting the weather and have launched the gazebo JC. Your get together sounded lovely Brit. I don’t miss the social occasions, not that there are many of them and because we live in the boonies I am usually the designated driver so that puts a stop to any questions. Dining room painted and now doing the sitting room. Intend to do my bedroom too. Doing a good clean out while I am at it. Only problem is the queues. I went to get more paint yesterday and paint shop was ok I only had to wait at the door for a while but had intended to drop into Home Store but there was about 20 people outside. Not worth it just for a browse. Better get back to my painting.

we were on our walk yesterday in Castletown and I saw 3 people stopped approx 2 metres from each other & thought it was a queue : turns out they were waiting for their dogs to catch up. I kid you not.

Re: International Army June 2020
Late for parade.........slept in. Can only blame the fresh air yesterday.
Can any give me the instructions on how to put photos on here from your phone, please? Got a few on FB of the garden shared from Mr JC's page.
No one bats an eyelid these days that I ask for still water ( I do sometimes go mad and ask for a bitter lemon). I started out with I'm not drinking at the moment.............its nigh on eleven years and I still say it. Some have cottoned on and I no longer get the 'go on...............a couple won't hurt'.
Beyond excited as Jenny, Ads and Buddy Boy are coming up Sunday.
I get to see the newest Mr and Mrs JC tomorrow.
And I'm going to the opticians tomorrow. Honestly I'm going through my wardrobe like I'm going on a first date.
And its curry take-out night tonight.
Even the fecking sea fret that's re-appeared isn't going to get to me today. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: International Army June 2020
sorry Jacks - xpost -- you are lucky that the 'seldom is wonderful' factor still applies with yer 'kids' --- mine are still randomly appearing in my garden at all times -- specially cos Joey isn't back working yet -- he thinks he might take Simon up on his offer and head to Switzerland for a while -- lots of money to be earned..
I saw himself's photo's of the garden on fb (it's lovely lovely by the way -- be sure tell him as well I said that!) but none of the gazebo?? says I going back for another look - I may not have looked at the +3's!!
Now - off to work

Re: International Army June 2020
I think I'm lucky : most extended family had not seen me at my worst yet. Was careful about that. So once they got over the initial shock of "satz not drinking any more":egad: they accepted it was probably not a huge deal cos "she didn't drink that much" ???
MrS had copped : then the kids - so I was on the cusp of being 'outed' - was only a matter of time.
MrS will never tell anyone now about the amount of gin/wine bottles he found - for HIS sake not mine. He was disgusted tbh.
BUT .... DD has told some of her close friends - that pisses me off yes.... it is up to me if I want to be tagged an addict.
Anyone I want to know will know....

Re: International Army June 2020
The shagging gazebo...........I can't remember if he took any. What a blooming carry on............him being well over 6' and me a foot shorter..............it was like clowns at a circus and the language was errrrrrrrrr lets say 'ripe' .After ten minutes I was ready to shove it in the bin.
We're just keeping you in suspenders. Its a bit like his but green and sturdier.
Don't worry gazebogate is nearly over.............but coming soon a reclining garden chair for Mr. JC's birthday. I promise this time there won't be the long, long saga.Last edited by JackieClaire; June 18, 2020, 02:31 PM.It could be worse, I could be filing.
