Guitarista.............why thank you, young man.
The rhubarb crumble tastes rather nice......slight toffee flavour..........so much sugar in it it would give No Sugar heart failure......its a bit too much even for me and I'm an addict.
Will try another one this week but will jiggle about with the recipe.

Fallen in love with our Alexa. Its all very clever stuff and the sound quality is amazing. Being an aging rock chick that's vital.

IamMary................holding off on the hairdresser for another month.until the excitement simmers down.......... I do my own bleaching but she's an amazing cutter......have managed my fringe with embroidery scissors...............but I've missed her.

Enjoy your weekend IamMary..................Jenny and Ads are borrowing our camping gear to get away this summer. Should be fun. It was last used two years ago when Mr. JC went to Ireland for the great Rory Gallagher tribute weekend.

I was to go to hairdresser today - but couldn't face it. 2 shagging hours
Mers WTF takes 3.5 hours - I'd be demented.
So I have a nice grey streak down the front of my head - like a Gremlin.
Remember that film in the 80s - me and the kids LOVED it.
And the Goonies
And Superman ( all of them)
Money Pit - Tom Hanks
Overboard - Goldie Hawn

A full head of high fecking lights satz123.. plus, all this fancy toner stuff, one for the front and another for the back. Lots of head shaking at the start and head nodding at the end. I hadnt had a full head done in a long time, never mind lockdown, so the back was a bit..well.. natural!

MR M loves camping JackieClaire. As one of the big scout centers will be empty this summer, scout leaders and families can use it. So we are reluctantly off in a couple of weeks too. Me and my lovely hair that was not designed for camping.
So there I am, packing for Galway tonight and hes up in the attic, pulling down the camping gear, for 2 weeks time!! its going to be a long July..

Ah Mr G.. is there still a spark there

Hi Bridgeypoos, thanks but I fear allaboutme. com is a.k.a. borefest. com and self pity was never a nice trait.

Hi Molly, I could add confused .com to that list, not sure I can honestly answer any of the above with any degree of certainty right now. I am not trying to be evasive but can we revisit this in the near future please.

Hi NS, that’s kind of you to say, yes I have been reading my old threads that one included. That really seems like a different person right now, however he had the good sense back then to leave some words of advice and caution to the present me.

Morning, just a quick one.
Woke up to the very sad news about Jackie Charlton and its taken the wind out of our sails. Bless his heart ............used to see him often in Tesco with his wife........he just pushed the trolley......we all knew he had dementia so no-one approached him but he always gave everyone a big smile.
See you later.

Re: International Army July 2020

Morning! ah yeah -- big Jack -- he gave us all a little lift in the early 90's when he was manager of the Irish soccer team. Shite way of playing football but then we did have mainly shite players and he still got us to the quarters of the World Cup - so yeah - in recession poverty ridden Ireland he was a bit of an icon! Poor man but imo better off dead than with dementia -- still my worst nightmare!
I understand completely Tabs.. get your head together and if you want to then we can do all the analyses!! and if you don't want to we can chat about any aul rubbish we always talk about ;-)
Still have this pounding headache.. have decided it's a combination of sinus/hay fever and stress -- I can SMELL the 2nd wave coming to Ireland -- deaths were down to zero -- new cases were down to 3 or 4 or 5 -- now new cases are in the 20's -- I know - not a lot -- but it's going in the wrong direction... can feel that worry wort feeling inside and this time I will be in the workplace where frankly my employer is merely ticking boxes... I'm dismayed -

Afternoon everyone. RIP big Jack, did not know he had dementia. Lots of happy memories this morning, listening to the radio. The 80’s here were so depressing and it gave the country a boost.

Agree Molly, only a matter of time before we have second wave. I worked through the whole thing so will just keep doing what I am doing but really not looking forward to lock up again. Selfish little gits, no thought about anyone but themselves. Rant over I’ll now go back to my painting.

Oddly enough neither him or his brother Bobbie ever played for Newcastle............but they were proper Geordies. There was a mass gathering of neighbours out the front all sharing their favourite Jack moments. And we do keep our distance with the neighbours and its ..................but in the shops today was fecking nightmare.

Come here a minute, our Jenny's been like this for weeks and would you believe thinking the same and finally caved and went to the doctor. He reckons its severe hayfever and given her a prescription for steroids and some super nose inhaler. Might be worth giving yours a bell.
Just heard from her and she's still not very bright but a ton better than she was.

Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB).........we're here to help no to judge.

Think its the same with the second wave over here but we haven't finished our first one yet.

brit...............you've got a heap on your plate, sweetheart always a pleasure to see you.

IamMary.........they're starting off by camping in a friends back garden before they risk a weekend away............then they'll try for a week. They've got Buddy to deal with as well he's got to be the maddest dog I've ever met.

mollyka................Have a go with the Olbas oil nasal stick. Helped me a loads all those months back in March.........mind you I did end up with anti-biotics from my doctor in April ( a phone consulation)..............just as well I didn't need my appendix out.............perhaps he would have helped with a Zoom consultation.

It was weird this morning called in to give him the money I owed him for Alexa...........we were allowed in the house....:egad:....honestly, it was really awkward and just odd.

He's obviously very popular he's now got a second interview with the Tax office. They're chucking jobs at him. .................that was a proud mammy brag

Nighty night, lovelies.

Well done Satz for taking the leap! And Well done Bridget for getting your resume out there! Pearls before swine and all that - Good luck to you both with the grand adventure of the job hunt and may you find a perfect fit
Hello @Tabbers, long time no see! Glad to have you onboard and agree wholeheartedly with everyone that it will be great to hear about your experience whenever you feel ready as we all benefit from each others' reflections - so many rich learnings to be had from another perspective.
brit, great to hear from you too
Am so glad I caught up with my family from Melbourne and Sydney before the next lot of lockdowns have started. We were just in the nick of time really and may not catch up again for quite a while. I have another trip planned at the end of August to Brisbane to catch up with friends. Border is open at the moment so here's hoping nothing worsens.

Morning all! It IS very slow getting on here in the morning. Not much news - still have the headache but going to talk to someone tomorrow -- so I'll live... Good to hear you're still going strong MrsA -- keep on keeping on hey!!!!

Discovered a magic way to lose weight -- get a headache:happy2: can't eat - can't sleep -- jaysus -- hope I never get anything SERIOUS wrong with me!
Such a shame to hear areas locking down again in so many countries - it's only a matter of time before we do too -- without a doubt -- apparently 4 flights from US came into Ireland 2 days ago - and more today - even one from Texas -- woman was interviewed in Dublin Airport about coming over here from there and she said 'it's all a fake' -- omghg --- will someone PLEASE close these nonsense flights -- we had to keep our ports open because we are a small island -- but yeah -- let trucks and lorries in but not muppets from countries that not only have the virus raging but think it's not a problem... I'm tired -- I'm so poxy tired of it all.. hence the headache I think

Sorry for moaning

Morning,
Of course I zoomed to see what our departures and arrivals from our airport...........luckily we've too small an airport for the big buggers............so went and had a look at Heathrow...............yep there's a fair few flights from the USA but there's a 14-day quarantine imposed on US & Brazil citizens. My cousin and family in Boston are supposed to come over in August.............they were only going to be here or 10 days to start with and they'd be in isolation the whole time. Seems an awful long way to come so we can wave through a window.

Of course, its a hoax, Molls, didn't you know that we're all stupid. The powers that be have been laughing their socks off at us plebs panic buying toilet rolls, giving out have-arsed advice while sitting in their ivory towers putting new laws about that we wouldn't normally hear about.

Saying that there's a fair few in the EU that have banned outright US & Brazil............and they're not that keen on the UK either.

mollyka............like you lot we're a tiny island too full of our people trying to get back to normal. We're lucky up here to have a big seaport nearby. And I am full of admiration to those that put in the hard yard to get us fed.

You know at the moment I've sort got used to this sort of sack of anxiety I wander about with.
