Horrified by that hand sanitiser article.. who'd have thunk it! :egad:
I don't think there is any internet where I'm going but I'm taking my laptop just in case.
Will be thinking of you all and keep up the good work. :bigwave:

Re: International Army August 2020
Afternoon all. Hope Mr A continues to improve. Didn’t know the Daly one supported Hogan, enough said. Hope they send somebody half decent to Europe. Daly, Mick Wallace and Ming out there, what an embarrassment, one worse than the other.
Had 70th birthday lunch for one of the ladies in crochet today. Lovely meal in restaurant overlooking the sea. Stuffed now.

Youngest went back to school today, primary.. it was all done really well. Shes in the hall now, loads of space.
New 27th Aug resolution, going to bed earlier.. No point having a hangover free brain if the tiredness fog is as bad!
fickle, safe travels and have a fabulous break.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: International Army August 2020
Good morning everyone, although nothing good about it, lashing rain and windy. Managed to get short walk in though. Heading west for weekend. Our anniversary was on Monday so this is our last treat of the summer.
Hope Mr A is recovering ok? If I don’t get to check in while away. Have a lovely weekend one and all.

Re: International Army August 2020
Morning yoo hooos and waves and other greetings,
Bank holiday over her in the UK this weekend and its hissing down. Don't envy our Jenny & Ads when they embark up to Kielder.
We used to hire a log cabin in the winter half term when the kids were younger...............big log fires and bitterly cold. Unfortunately the prices are beyond silly for school holidays these days.
Hugs and love to our Whizzy :heartbeat::hug:It could be worse, I could be filing.

In other news, our Covid cases are 250 to 300 daily anymore. Apparently there was a scuffle at a store at a shopping centre I went to earlier. One man wearing a mask arguing with another man who was insisting that he won't wear a mask. Fists were involved and the police called. Very upsetting to see people who think the rules and laws do not apply to them when we are all in this situation together. Fidiots!!!Last edited by stirly-girly; August 29, 2020, 06:05 AM.For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Re: International Army August 2020
Afternoon all -- busy couple of days hence disappearing trick... how's all? Not much news here -- birthday girl was here yesterday so we ended up having a mini-party - 'twas great fun - socially distanced of course ;-) another couple of days working and then I'm off for a few weeks - hopefully get a few short trips in on the bike - just Airbnbing -- but it'll be the calm before the storm - my own library is re-opening in a few weeks and jaysus it's going to be bedlam -- the MESS that the builders have left and 50k books to be re- shelved -- will need to be in the whole of my health!!!
How's MrA Whizzy? Hope he's doing well -- and you too xx
And Rusters off gallivanting as well -- good woman -- life is short d'ya know folks -- I'm beginning to feel aggrieved putting it on hold for so long - this day 6 months ago the first confirmed case of Covid in Ireland -- and here we are anticipating a 2nd wave... not fun!
Right -- going to garden a bit -- gone native!Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Re: International Army August 2020
Still no real news. Mr A still very poorly and he is really distressed when he sees me on the iPad . Desperately hard when no visiting is allowed and he is crying.
He is able to talk but with mixed up words although his cognitive function seems fairly ok.
I am having broken sleep but am being well looked after by my three girls.
