Glad you are home too satz123! Never a dull moment :happy2:
(Im sort of craving dull moments). How was the rest of the holiday anyway?
Is it really that different here? Im finding everyone wears masks now, its unusual not to see it. It took a while mind you.
Love the SIL stories.
I agree on the Irish being well behaved - my point was that so are the Greeks but their livelihood is being unfairly whipped away from them by countries like Ireland not allowing tourists to travel there. Ireland lumps the whole of the thousands of Greek islands together to get their numbers. Keffalonia has had 20 cases in total.
At least England & Wales take the time to differentiate between the different islands.Last edited by satz123; September 28, 2020, 05:01 AM.

I am reminded of this song by Christie Moore for some reason:

Morning and waves to the world,
Late this morning as would you believe I was playing hide the chew with the Bess.
satz123...............good grief the English have got something right :egad:
brit.........hope you're taking time for yourself.
The Oxford vaccine is ticking along nicely again. The glitch they had a couple of weeks ago found an unknown pre-existing condition one of the guinea pigs which he's now getting treatment for. I've got my sleeve rolled up.It could be worse, I could be filing.

only grief I have is teenagers who somehow think they look cool with their nose poking out over the mask!
Travelling through the airport was very sad. Lovely shops with lovely staff that used to bustle all closed down. Jobs lost.
Then seeing everyone masked - and to think I used to think Michael Jackson or the Japanese looked ridiculous ?
It's so hard too to HEAR anyone properly. No facial expressions makes nigh on impossible to understand anyone.
Now I wish my bloody SIL would get a permanent face mask :haha:
She is soooooooooo annoying. I was hearing her voice even when she wasn't there.
Like that lady you work with Molls - just f*cking irritates me.
I used to tell the lad on the beach to put their sunbed as far away as possible. Two metre rule is good. 10 metres is better.
MrS was annoyed with me - cos of course he wanted his twin close ...... :haha:Last edited by satz123; September 28, 2020, 06:16 AM.

I'm afraid I'm guilty of that once or twice. Glasses steam up & I can't see or breathe.

Good to have you back Satz, you are bold, might be a bit of a Norwegian in you. They ask when are we getting rid of this two metre rule and can go back to our normal four metres. They are big into their personal space. With a SIL like yours next beach might be an option.
Working day over and just in so need to get some grub.

Re: International Army September 2020
Thats hilarious Rustop
My kids inherited my spotty complex and wearing the masks all day is creating a challenge for witch hazel! Ah well, better than the alternative.
Good point on the Greek islands, well done over there JackieClaire!
Drama tonight, my FIL (functioning alco) fell down and couldnt get up. Hes not a very nice drunk, its everyone else fault and way to proud to allow anyone in to help her. MrM happened to pop in so that was that. Just off the phone to MIL and shes v upset. This is not an isolated incident... Told her to pack a bag and let him fend for himself, but as my SIL said, why should she leave. None of us would take him in though.
Remind me, what was it about AL that was so attractive to us all once upon a time??AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

IamMary........cross-post.
You're poor MIL. Its a hard one. My mum was a nasty drunk............luckily I worked out when and what times the phone would ring and ignore it........I got slammed by my brother but it wasn't his number she'd ring.It could be worse, I could be filing.
