Re: International Army September 2020

Yep thats where my kids are in school Molls. The video was in very bad taste, although my kids argued that were all bored as they were self isolating waiting on results. no excuse - they should never have hired a bus together to go into town.
Not sure how many positive cases they had in the end... but its caused havoc with all the clubs and restaurants closing now, as well as the worry among people.
These kids were 'outed' as their tictoc went viral. There are tonnes of other get together's still going on every weekend, like Pauly said.
A friend is off on another party bus this weekend, Hen night. Another a couple of weekends ago. These are doctors and nurses.. go figure...

Poor ol Bess, JackieClaire...

Thinking about Mr A.

On a totally different note - The Fall, Netflix. Worth a watch.

Morning everyone. Totally agree with you Molly and maybe that’s the message that should be highlighted. Feel, especially in the media there is a bit of wrapping them in cotton wool, it’s so hard on them etc. First time in their lives they can’t have what they want, get over it. Rant over.

Hope poor Bess is o.k. as you say it is quality of life that is important. Nice that you have Jenny there. Thinking of you Mrs A and glad too that you have your daughter with you.

Did get a walk in yesterday but was a horrible day. Went back to Pilates last night too. Stretched some muscles I had not felt in 6 months. There were only 5 of us and big room with patio door open so felt comfortable. Nice to get back to normal.

Morning and waves to the world,
I always have a look-see at the Newbies Nest first thing and saw our lovely Nora's having a tough time at the moment with her mum.......... NoraC we're thinking of you.
Big hugs going out to Mrs A.

Bess is again much better after her first load of meds.

Enjoy your trip, Molls.

Just a quick one as Jenny and Ads are up. Ads Grandpa is a 101 years old on Saturday......still lives in his own house , does his own house work and shopping........just thought I throw that one in.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Hallo Army!!

A quick fly-by from me - busy at work as usual at this time.

Keep hoping to see an update from brit. Hope all went well.
JackieClaire - glad to hear that Bess is better. So difficult when your pet gets older. I still remember my dear Freddie. He had a good long life with us but the end it was difficult. I had to let him go so he could be at peace and rest. Old age had caught up with him and he had tired. Had to be helped to stand up. No quality of life in that. Sending you a big  and one for Black Bess as well.

Molls, enjoy your trip. I am off for a girl's weekend tomorrow afternoon and looking forward to it very much, I must say.

Hello to all and wishing you a good day!!

Listen Bess wouldn't be eating something in the garden would she? Fertiliser or the like?
Dubai Zoom was interesting. A Saudi, one English, one Scot, 2 Australians, 1 Canadian, 1 Indian, 1 Russian. The whole of Dubai may have pulled on the broadband a bit :happy2:

Just reading something that Pauly wrote in last month's thread - reminded me of something. Sober Bridget used to look after drunk Bridget. It really was like living two lives or having multiple personalities. Sober Bridget used to make food and leave it in the fridge, get all the work done knowing that hung over Bridge would never get to it. Sober Bridge used to know that the next day would be a write off. She used to make sure the bed was made up, a shower had been had all these other things that I can't even remember any more. It was years ago now, before the first time that I quit. I used to joke about it with my main drinking buddy and call my alter ego Sybil. Sybil trimmed the plants last night at 3am. Sybil's sent some texts I see.
What a baffling disease. Haven't thought about that for ages.

Hope all is looking up in Brit world.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Hello all. I could use some prayers for my mom. She just tested positive for COVID-19. She was in a skilled nursing facility and was moved to another facility yesterday that are treating COVID patients only. They have had 36 positive cases there since mid/July. She is 92. I thank you with deep gratitude x

Thank you for all the love & prayers. Mom has had more of a decline in the last month. She stopped eating a couple days ago. I'm just keeping her comfortable. I tell myself it's the circle of life. Mom is passing and a new granddaughter due in December. But, I'm still sad even though it's time.
Anyway, I'll catch up more later. I need to read back. I don't even know what's wrong with brit

Sorry : I got left in August - Pauly locked me in a cupboard

wrapping them in cotton wool, it’s so hard on them etc. First time in their lives they can’t have what they want, get over it. Rant over
Never a truer word spoken - little shites. They need a good kick up the arse.

techie  what JC said and my own mother & her cell mate Violet sailed through @ age 90.

brit - you poor thing. Mr B has been though such a lot.
You may feel helpless - but he knows you'll always be there in his corner .
