Re: International Army September 2020

Late check in - worked the weekend & needed to gather myself today.

Tempers were frayed with the Carers yesterday - handbags at dawn stuff - but I can't really blame them. It's tough - 12 hour shifts.

Thursday week I will be heading to Stirlyland - via Jackieland ..... away from the poxy rain - to where the sun shines. I NEED it and cannot wait.

PS
my daughter makes her living working in Sky so I won't be joining in the bashing of them.

satz123..............be a love give and us a wave as you go over.

I managed to lose my hearing aids......no ideas how.......they were in the bin in the kit hen. Going through auld cabbage and potato peelings isn't a pleasant task at 11pm. Found them five miutes ago. How they got in there will be mystery until the end of time.

And 34 years ago today about this time I was being taken to hospital to have my first baby. She was born at 3:45am..........and life changed forever.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning and waves to the world,

You know I remember feeling rather smug and clever when I first had her................ I kept thinking I grew this..........as if she was a winner in the local flower show. But that could have been the gas & air.
And she was going to be an only child................but 21 months later along came the S&H.

We were sat in the utility room with the big kitchen bin for an our like forensic scientists sifting through evidence and franticly wondering if we could claim on the insurance.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Afternoon everyone . Typing on phone so excuse any typos. Glad you found your hearing aids JC.

Sun is shining here, wish I could swop places with you Molly. Make the most of it. You too Satz, break badly needed. Reckon this was the last morning I will start my walk in daylight, better dig out my headlamp. With three doggies my hands are well full. Busy afternoon at work so just taking a quick lunch.

A quick dash through as the day has legged it again.
SPecial thoughts and all the good stuff sent to Techie, Nora and Brit. It seems so unfair to have these things happening on top of a damn pandemic.

I LOVE the look of your get away Stirly. How beautiful!

Mad couple of days throwing three huge loads of soil on the garden to form a new bed or two and some yard tidying and planting. This will be a great garden season. I even took a mental health day today from the work farce. It's getting more ludicrous by the day. I even received an early retirement offer which would keep me in plants for 6 months tops.

A big big congratulations to the JC baby girl on her eventual nuptials.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

The very thought of having someone elses used ear-phones makes me feel nauseus............I got buy one get one free. I'm actually due a re-tuning and check-up.

Just had a face-time with Jenny. Hard to believe this teeny baby (5lb 15 oz) has frown up to be 5'9 with legs to die for and today beloved by her pupils for locking herself out of her classroom today.

Nighty nighty lovelies.

Evening folks, I see the pubs are opening up here in a couple of weeks. How in dogs name are the publicans going to get everyone to abide the rules once a few beers are onboard, impossible imo. Can’t see how there won’t be a resultant spike in cases down the line.

JC - Jenny had a birthday and she locked herself out and you lost your hearing aids. Wow! What a day.

Thanks for all the good thoughts everyone. Mom is still with us. Nurse thinks it might be a couple weeks still. She is completely out of it now. Just trying to keep her comfortable.

I'm typing from my phone and not very good at it. :victorious: I'll try to catch up more later.

Good to hear your mom is ok. I’m in the same boat. My mom is in a tenuous situation. She is positive w/COVID-19. 93 y/o with HBP and COPD. She has not become symptomatic thus far. Praying that stays the case. Wishing the best for your mom and all moms struggling with age relate illness. Blessings x

I hope the two Moms are comfortable this evening.

A very odd day in the work farce. I can see people crumbling now. Starting to behave very strangely indeed, very awkward.

Kudos to those checking in on their phones!!! Well done Ladies!
