Tony - good to see you back and determined to start over!! Hope the Smart Recovery meeting will give you even more incentive to kick AL to the curb. It will be the best thing you ever did for yourself. As the others said - stick close to MWO as well - lots of support here. We all know what you're going through so good advice to be had. Also, if you're feeling lonely, there is almost always someone around since there are members from all over the world. Again, really good to see you back and some very good advice for getting back on track from Techie and Molls.
Hallo to all the Troopers - glad to hear that the Mammies are at least comfortable.
Hope Mr. A is improving.
JackieClaire - Happy Birthday to your Jenny. Hope she can celebrate the way she wants to in spite of the restrictions.
Waves to all. Hopefully catch up again later or tomorrow.
tonyniceday - all you have to do is not drink tonight. One day at a time.....Last edited by stirly-girly; September 9, 2020, 01:26 PM.For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Re: International Army September 2020
Good man Tony...see you've got somewhere already..
And as Stirly says...ALL you have to do today is not drink...don't be worrying bout things you've done or said or what anyone else has...you can't cope with anything else...just....don't.....drink.
Then tomorrow...you'll rinse and repeat..and in a few days you MAY be able to think about stuff..but not now
Another thing...if you can't sleep..you may or you may not...don't let that be an excuse to drink...BEST piece of advice I got in the early days..I told my doc.i couldn't sleep..he just shrugged and said 'it won't kill you'....and he was right...eventually ur body will require sleep and it'll happen
Take care tonight ..first sign of serious withdrawals call someone xxxContentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Re: International Army September 2020
Just wanted to update you on my mom. She was moved back to her skilled nursing facility. She is deemed recovered. Miracle? False positive? Who knows! I spoke to her nurse a bit ago, and she said mom will not be tested again per CDC guidelines. She is on oxygen as before testing positive. Anyway, prayers answered. Thanks again xoxoOutside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

They are AMAZING. I stick to my theory techie that somewhere in their long lives they met this or similar virus & produced antibodies to fight it.
My mother also has very bad COPD but is thriving recently ....... ??Last edited by satz123; September 9, 2020, 03:44 PM.

tonyniceday...............welcome back. Have you still got my number? I don't go anywhere during the week if you need a chat. Apologies for not being here earlier I was having one of thos 'nothing' days.
And if you can't sleep I know my early days I played Text Twist for hours...............just to basicall to keep my hand busy.
techie..........fantastic news. The amount of elders that have caught this virus and survived never ceases to amaze me. I wonder if the scientists are looking into it.
rustop59............more the price of a small second-hand runaround...........near 3K for both but I got lucky and it was buy one get one free.
Bess continues to be as normal as a 16 year old plus Labrador. She finishes this course of treatment next Tuesday/
Night night lovelies.:hug:It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: International Army September 2020
Good morning everyone. :welcome: back Tony, hope you got through your first night and managed to get some sleep. See our Stirly was awake early and talking to you. Check in and let us know that you are o.k.
Great news about your Mom Techie. Hope Mr A also continues to improve. Off for my walk in a few minutes and then the dreaded grocery shop.
