I only partly completed the clearout, I have no energy, for some reason, and I have been doing it in bite size chunks...

                    Re: International Army September 2020

                    Crazy story. No triathlon this year. So the past few days I was in Yosemite doing some suv/tent camping and bouldering. We were doing V6-V8 climbs. While extremely challenging It’s not expert stuff. So, I scale this enormous boulder with very few hand/foot holds. Get to the top, and the wind blew both my hearing aids off in nanoseconds. I was thinking g of JC who eventually found hers. Mine will probably soon be part of a beaver dam.

                    All in all a great trip till..... It was clear blue. The lake like a mirror. Then all hell broke loose. The wind blew through the canyon like crazy. The sky got smoky gray and then ten minutes later bright orange red. The fire was moving about a hundred MPH toward us. We were fine because we were surrounded by granite with very little fuel source.. what was problematic was the wretched air quality that so quickly move through the entire area.

                    We got home at 11am. We have our go bags ready. There are two large fires that are closing in on our area. I live on a golf course, which is a natural fire break but we were told these fire can jump those barriers easily. Problem is where to go.

                    So, you can go from a fun few days to defending your home and possibly running for your life. This whole mess is due to climate change, poor land management, and even more poor politicians!

                        Bit by bit, little by little.............don't rush. They call it recovery for a reason............we're recovering from a deadly disease (for want of a better word)...............if you'd broken a leg we wouldn't expect to run a marathon the day after the cast came off.

                        techie...............sorry, I now have a vision of a beaver being able to hear very well and looking very smug.

                        Warching the fires is like watching another planet. My heart goes out to those in the midst and wish them safety.

                        :hug::hug::hug: to Brit and Nora.

                              Oh, Mrs. A. I am so sorry. I hope the strength that has gotten you through the past difficulties will help you get through this, too. It is so unfair that you are not allowed to visit. There must be some exceptions to the regulations. So very sorry. That is just not right either for Mr. A or you and your family. My heart goes out to all of you. I hope that his final time will be peaceful and free of pain. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

                              Much love,
