mollyka...........I'll be very honest I didn't read it all, I sort of stopped at ten pin bowling............and I'll be honest again I haven't got a clue.
If you can make any sense of this I'd be truly greatful let me know.
North East of England: local restrictions - GOV.UK
The little I can gather is that Mr. JC and his sister are going to have to fight it out to see which one of them is going to be Ma & Pa's support bubble and our niece can't go up and weed their garden but they're gardener can do the lawns.
I can shout over the fence to my neighbours but not enter their garden or house. I've known these people 35 years.
The S&H and his Mrs can go to the pub from 11am to 10pm but have to sit by themselves while they're mates sit in couples at other tables.
[It could be worse, I could be filing.

I think it was about four months ago I was having a browse through BBC4...................... I'm still not bored enough to watch The History of Linoneum over the last 100 Years.

Re: International Army September 2020
Afternoon all. Tried to post video of our minister for health, it’s a joke but not far off the mark. Unfortunately did not work. Clear as mud the whole thing. How do you feel about early retirement Bridget? My SIL and BIL took it and are delighted with it. Hope it all works out.
How are you NoraC, I guess there will be good days and bad. Check in and let us know how you are. Good to see you checking in Tabs, will you chase the Tony fella down, gone awol again.
Hope Satz and everyone else are safe and sound. Does not seem fair, all she wanted was a bit of sun and rest. Waves to everyone else.Last edited by rustop59; September 18, 2020, 08:29 AM.

Just popping in to say nighty night too
I do hope that Satzuma is OK. I love Greek people, they'll make sure she's safe.

Oxford are near getting a vaccine after a bit of a kerfuffle last week but its still months away so keep your mask on. Its rather heartening that all countries are working together to get it right rather than just shoving a junk one out in weeks.
I'm actually watching The Tudors again.............a lot to do with the rather dashing Jonathon Rhys Meers :heartbeat:
There's more counties going into local lockdown...............the second wave is here. But a few laughs with a dear friend through whatsapp which had me roaring laughing in places and a mammoth chat with Jenny made the my day...........and its a big shop tomorrow.
Just having a hot chocolate......the night's are getting chilly after the fab weather day.
Night nigh lovelies. :hug:It could be worse, I could be filing.

Do we have sexual entertainment bars Rustop, Molly, Tabbers? Am I living under a rock?
Went to Ikea just before it closed. Empty and we were in and out zip time. Exhausting day ahead, telling Mr M what a fantastic builder he is :wink-new:Last edited by IamMary; September 18, 2020, 06:37 PM.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Morning (just) and waves to the undies and over the pond.
Would have been up earlier but didn't get to sleep 'til near 4am. Mr JC & I were talking about the sad death of Ruth Ginsberg. Amazing woman who worked until she was 87 years old.
IamMary.............I'm not sure either what they mean about the sexual entertainment or hostess threw me as well.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: International Army September 2020
OMG --- sexual entertainment --- in Catholic IRELAND --- bless my soul -- say a rosary -- oooohhhh De Valera would be turning in his catholic grave:harhar:
nah -- missed those den's of vice haha -- anyway - they're closed so -- stop looking for them now ladies!!!
Afternoon all -- bit dull and cool here - and I remind myself of Oney - d'ya remember she used to hate the hot weather - I'm perfectly happy now snuggled up on my couch with fruity pancakes with mascarpone ice-cream --- I shit you not -- I MADE all that haha -- Joe is a bit glum so thought a bit of comfort food would do the job.... I'm still waiting........
No news -- feels weird to be sort of locked INTO Dublin -- like -- except for holidays once a year or so down the country -- we sort of never LEAVE Dublin -- it has most everything within the borders really -- city - countryside -- sea - mountains... so yeah - makes pox all difference to my life - even if I want a pub or restaurant I can walk 1k to the Louth border!!!Well,,, the library will work behind closed doors from Monday and maybe not have ALL the family in the house at the same time -- rarity it happens anyway - next time will be Christmas -- and I ain't changing that!!!!
How's everyone?Last edited by mollyka; September 19, 2020, 07:33 AM.Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Re: International Army September 2020
Hallo Army!!
Molls, you'd love our weather today - wet, cool and cloudy. Well, mebbe not cool for you - 23C - but much cooler than it has been for months now. We went from summer to fall in one day.
Just found this a few minutes ago. This is the town where Satzy goes every time she visits Greece. Defo not good news. Damn, I wish there was some way to find out if she is ok.

Re: International Army September 2020
Afternoon all. OMG that does not look good, hope poor Satz is ok. Was talking to the farrier (fella who shoes horses) this morning and he went west to Clifden a few weeks ago and the place they were staying in got flooded and their car destroyed. 2020 definitely a year to remember.
Think most Dubs happy enough to be locked in or a lot of my friends sound like Molly. Meant to be having check points out here in case any stray out. I did an ikea run yesterday. Big queues but got what I wanted. We are not meant to be visiting either but we are right on the border and I work in County Dublin.

Yeah that looks not good on that island -- climate is changing at a fierce rate.. they are now saying that the east coast of Ireland (we on here are all on the east coast -- us Irish ones I mean!) is going to warm up exponentially... no idea why -- just feels scary ... I feel the mood world wide had started to pay attention to the climate change issue but now it's been buried for another year cos of the virus -- hate to think we will leave a burnt out shell of a planet to our great grandchildren.... just scary..Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Re: International Army September 2020
So much to comment on that I will never catch up.
I hope that Satz is ok. So scary!
Sounds like the Covid rules all over the world make about as much sense as they do here. Do people resent wearing masks & social distancing? Many people here think it's all fake. No worse than the flu. Of course, what can you expect with the imbecile in power spouting all his lies.
Bridge - hoping for the best for the job situation. I am truly grateful that I retired in January. Maybe not the best situation money wise but it certainly was the best thing for my mental health. I heard from an old co-worker today and she is counting the days until her retirement now. Not a good place to work.
2020 is definitely a year to remember. We had an earthquake last night - not a big one but the house definitely was shaking. :bouncy:"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett
