Evening everyone and indeed hugs JC, horrible time and no way but through it. The whole country is about to go to level 3. Hard to know if it is the right thing to do or not, NEPHIT are recommending level 5. Either way it is going to be a long, long winter.

Work had settled down a bit which was a nice change. How are you feeling today Molly? Waves to everyone else, better get something to eat.

Well done Anjicia, I love your resolve. How are you feeling about it this week? Whats your biggest trigger? Good news on the levels, we stay in 3. Welcome onboard Rustop and Satz! :happy2:

Drama, its always the girls stirly-girly. Boys are a breeze in many ways, at least during the teenage years, but thats only as far as Ive got - Im sure theres plenty of fun times ahead of me there too.

How did the marathon go brit? I imagine Mr A was very proud of you, another one under your belt.

JackieClaire, grieving during covid is just shit.. Would you wander out for a walk or do some gardening? We watched a lovely documentary film on Netflix tonight My Octopus Teacher. Youd like it. xx

Night all.

Morning all and welcome (back) @Anijicia

JC, I can't even imagine how awful you must be feeling. I'd be using any distraction possible at this stage but really, I'm not sure what I'd do. Actually I do know. I would start planting a Black Bess Memorial Garden.

My holidays have begun, so of course there was the requisite family drama to kick it all off. I am going to suspend contact with family for a while because last night it got so bad that I actually had drinking thoughts. First time in almost 17 months. I've been binging The Split series to try and take my mind off it all but of course they were all drinking like fish as well. As a matter of fact one character just pronounced herself an alcoholic and began meetings. So perhaps back to the relative safety of Gardener's World.

Stirly your list up there is amazing. It's the perfect day for me to see that and review my own.

The lawn mower has crapped out so I'm off to score a new one then I will do a props read back.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: International Army October 2020

Good morning you lovely lot. Had my first full nights sleep and feel so much better this morning. Imagine if I was still drinking? Even after a disturbed night I still thank my lucky stars for the clear head in the morning--it never goes away the relief of being sober.

I am sleeping on a camp bed next to Mr A it is comfy but not ideal.

The marathon happened with a lot of help from the family. During the event I had to change a stoma and call the paramedics when we couldn't get him back to bed and he was in a lot of pain. Anyway I did it!! Actual moving time was 4 hrs 50mins With all the drama the elapsed time was 7. hours.

Morning and waves to the world,

brit.........I've said it more than once but I'm going to say it again you're a living legend.

Much better than yesterday...........ii'll come in waves. Think I cried a months of tears out yesterday so today I'll have to re- hydrate.

I've a mate coming over tomorrow.............she's our bubble unless they change the rules yet again. You need a lawyer in the house to work out who, what or where we're suppised to do or not do. Luckily I married one.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

:shocked:4 hours 50 minutes, Mrs. A??? Good grief! You are amazing!!! :bouncy:
Just out of curiosity - where did you run? How does a virtual marathon happen. I'm curious. Not that I could ever enter one. Just wondering. And glad you are getting some good sleep and even gladder that you are sober. You rock!!!!

Waves to the rest of the Army!!

Molls - please check in and let us know how you're doing.

Jackie - hope things are getting easier with every passing day. I like Bridge's idea about a garden plot. Or a fairy garden. My sister works in a greenhouse and they sell all the bits and pieces to make one and they have workshops on how to make them. Usually with succulents so I know that is something you would like. Here is a pic I found of one made to look like someone's back yard...

I made one years ago for my Granddaughter - a little bumble bee sleeping on the beach. Fairy Garden.jpg

Anyway, just a couple of thoughts.

Back to the e-mails once again. Hoping you all have a safe day!!!

Re: International Army October 2020

Morning army another showery day here well rain on and off and dull overcast sky. Been awake since 6 am so i stayed up. I cleaned out my kitchen cupboards apart from the two above the cooker and between the extractor. Also made a veggie curry for dinner later and hoovered around the floors. I have some old glasses mugs and a few other bits from the cupboards i don't need or use so in a bag along with other stuff for the charity shop. I am nackerd now lol and just having a frothy coffee. Brit did you really run 4 hours or is it an online event? i could do a moderate hike over 2 hours but running not for me not good on my knees but can do power/ brisk walks and hill walking moderate hikes. i also like to cycle and bought back in April i think when it became clear this pandemic or whatever it is or called was going to go on longer. I don't have any one trigger more like a few and i am just taking it a day at a time for the 100th time of more i am done counting just getting on with it. I concerned for my mental and physical health at this stage but lucky i am not in bad shape. Sitirly i love the fairy garden you gave me an idea for my landing outside my front door. I need a fair size terracotta pot or similar as i have some mini stools and an elve on one i got in Dealz which is like Poundland in uk and a few other bits. Or i can pick up in charity shops or bargain places. I like doing flower tubs and containers. Been a bit of a rough year and half with 2 deaths in the family and some illness with others. Its starting to brighten up now i can see from my window. I need to sweep up leaves from my steps and around the courtyard and in the storage area where i keep my bike and my small lockup storage unit. Ok going to get some lunch watch some tv for a bit and get the sweeping up started. Laters folks

Afternoon all. Well done Brit, you are amazing. I am also interested in how it worked. Glad you are feeling little bit better JC, as you said that is the way it is going to be for a while.

Sorry about the family drama Bridget, there is always something. You sound good Anjicia. Day by day and before you know it, not drinking will be the norm. Do check in Molly, we worry about people when they go awol. Another working week nearly over for me. Nothing much planned for the rest of the week except getting my hair done on Thursday.

Glad your feeling a bit better JackieClaire, great your friend is around tomorrow.

Families are just great byebyebridgetjones , but all is ok with the world, you have a new lawnmower!
Great idea about a little spot for Bess..

brit, well done, thats a fabulous time!!

We are all doing virtual races now Stirls. Our watch would be linked to GPS and particular apps that track your pace, distance and all sorts of other data that we sad running people like to look at. Some races want people to carry your phone, but thats not ideal. Basically, you run your own route, which could be circles of the park or country roads for miles, as long as you do the distance.

Got daughter a Covid test in the end and shes grand. But we all had to restrict our movement for the past couple of days waiting on the result. Shes been off for a full week now. I dont think she been off that long in total in the past 6 years!

Hope Molly is ok.
