Morning and waves to wherever you are.

IamMary..............I'll give it a goo. Want to watch Nilsen.
Did have a hissy fit when I decided to go to watch...........The Tudors. Its always been free on Amazon and now its £1.99 an episode..............we already pay a tenner a month. And its disappeared from Netflix.:sulkiness:

Going for another try at IKEA........we need their meatball, random napkins and prolly more plastic cups.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning everyone. Don’t forget the candles JC. Being a culchie can’t go anywhere like that at the moment but luckily I got a trip in a few weeks ago. Plenty of beautiful scenery out here but all the big shops we go to are in south county Dublin which is only a 10/15 minute drive away.

Not raining so going to take the doggies for a walk. Still watching Borgen, must check out some of those other shows.

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Afternoon all another lovely fresh day here sunny spells and a nice breeze. Rustop i am in Dun Loaghaire so you are not too far with a short car journey. Are you in wicklow Kildare Meath? My sister lives in Bray. I am heading to Carrickmines retail and bussiness park shortly. Just going to Woodies and have a look in direct sports homebase and TK maxx not really planning to buy anything except some Winter plants candles and i am looking for ankle boots but only i see a nice pair i like and within a certain price range. I decided against buying a curling wand. The last one i bought never worked well on my hair and i ended giving it away. It wasn't expensive i got on sale after Christmas. Anyway going to get a bus catch you all later x

Cowboy - you are a star!! Thank you so much for remembering. Just got back from a celebration lunch with my special friend. He is 12 years AF on December 2nd. We are both very grateful that we are sober. We celebrated with a wonderful dinner of roast lamb - our favourite meat - and various other dishes, enjoyed outside even tho' it's a cloudy day. Followed by ice cream. Life is good.

Wishing you all a good weekend. I am off to paint for a while and will check in again later.

Foxy - good to see you are chalking up those sober days. It is sooooooo worth it!!!

Loving the big 5 Stirly.

Evening all, been a tiring day, I’ve been keeping busy. Have to say my blanking the news a few days ago is seeming like a good decision by the hour. No idea what is happening with that thing that is trying to kill us all or with that orange yoke’s latest shenanigans.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Good morning army and well done Stirley on 5 years off the poison thats awesome. Another sunny mild day here so i am going to get a walk some where this afternoon. Make the best of the weather and also trying to avoid much of the news about this worldwide madness we have come to be in. Our goverment and so called health care expects don't know what they are at from day to day. It seems we may end up with a stricter lockdown before Christmas phase 4 or 5 if thats what i heard on the news during the week so get out where you can and do what need to do because who knows what will they will do next. I am sick of mask wearing quequeing outsides shops and other places and having freedom taken away to enjoy basic rights the mask wearing not solved much if cases are still going up and everyone is blaming this situation and this group of people. anyway i will day more on the subject and leave it at that. Anyway have a super Sunday whatever you planned or not relax or have a lazy day too xxxx

Late for parade.
Had another sobbing fest.........the house is just so empty.
And the mad thing is we'll do it all again andadopt another dog.

Then a long and rather lively debate with Mr. JC about what a bunch of gosbshites we have in Parliament. I'm positive my aged Aunt's crochet group could have done a better job.

stirly-girly.....again well done you. :welldone:

mollyka........hope you're okay, pet.

Had one of those weird flash backs about when I was trying to moderate.....many years ago ...I could see this tiny bottle of wine you can get (about a glass and a dribble) sat on the kitchen top...........and dithering about drinking it. I knew, just knew that if I drank it I'd gulp it down in one and then fidget and work out how many days even hours until the next one...........just so, so calming that I don't have do that any more.

Afternoon all. Congratulations Stirly, 5 years is amazing, well done you. We have all been there JC, took me a long time after my goldie but then little Willow came into our lives, ex puppy farm and they had a few hundred dogs to rehome. My daughter sent a picture and said how can you not give her a home? She is the sweetest, gentleness creature you could ever meet. There is another one out there for you when the time is right.

Good idea with the news blackout Tabs. They seem to be going around in circles. Beautiful day here, did not get up the hills but had a lovely walk along the river. Stew in the slow cooker and feet up now to read the papers.

Evening all. Went for a walk this afternoon and the town was busy enough with outside dinners and coffee shops as it was a lovley mild afternoon. I had a coffee sitting in a courtyard in a nice coffee near my town. No food or drink inside the bars restaurtants coffee shops etc take away and outdoor sitting only for how long well who knows. Our goverment ain't much better then UK jackie lol. Ahh grieving takes time and you had Bess for so long i remember the lovely pics you put up of her over the years here. I am nearly tearing up now. If you feel up to taking another rescue dog go for it when it when you are both ready. The lucky dog will be going to a lovely caring home. Just going to watch some tv or may be netflix later. I was following an Irish 6 part series which ends tonight and i started watching white teeth which was on channel 4 a few years but never saw it tru the end. I am not sure about it some good funny parts but i am about halfway tru season 1. so thats it not much happening here 2 cats in asleep and the other are out. Ok enjoy your evening folks good night x

I get those too JC, on Sundays in particular... it was the day when I would definitely have a hangover so couldnt wait to have the hair of the dog, but would try to be good as work the next day - but Sunday dinner meant more time cooking, which meant more time drinking. More time calculating that mad formula Y(wine) x Z(hours sleep) = A(hangover level) x thisisthelastime thoughts.. the opposite of calm.

Great idea Tabbers to ban news. I love the murmur of the radio when Im working from home though. I should probably change the channel. I usually do when Ray Darcy comes on. Awuful pity they axed Mooney.

Beautiful day.

Morning folks, a dark wet one it is. I should have explained regarding my news blackout, I am a bit of a news junkie normally and visit many news site daily so stopping doing that was as much as anything I intended when I decided to take this hiatus.

Mary, I too listen to the radio in work and when at home either through my computer or Alexia. I use Irish Radio Stations | Live Radio and listen to RTE lyric in the morning and then various world radio stations after that, many of which are news free such as RTE gold from Ireland, Soul Cafe from USA, Euphoria from Oman, Blues radio from Greece, Radio Nature from Spain etc., or really whatever takes my fancy.
