I never had issues with my back - always going to gym or somewhere. Building strength in bones & muscles rather than anything else.
Now self diagnosed Sciatica FFS... anyone know how to help that ? Physio ?
I think it's from the chair in work.

I'll be stealing MrS painkillers today just to walk.
Hi Satz. I don't know much about physio etc. This might be helpful though. It feels good to me, but obviously do your research. Good luck.

Good morning everyone. Yea that’s what she plans to do Mary, knows she needs to isolate before she sees anyone and has to do the same going back. I’m finishing work mid December and himself works from home. Just need to keep her out of the other ones way! Thanks for the cake offer JC, today is the day.

Had a nice walk in the woods this morning. Himself gave me Neville Maguires new cookery book. I asked for it as could not justify buying myself another cookery book and he also threw in Mary McAleeses one. Have not read a real book in ages, do it all online so really looking forward to it. Have a good day everyone.

Evening all
Have had a great read back, loads of laughs :welldone:
Had a v busy week with the end of month dramas at work but am pleased to say my nemesis is taking 6 months off.. last couple of days next week.. so a wonderful win win
Guitarista thanks for the sciatica tip - my brother is really suffering from that at the moment so have sent it to him and hopefully it will help.
mollyka back driving in 4 weeks :egad: The surgery must be way different than when I had it in 2008. I wasn't allowed drive for 12 weeks!
Isn't it awesome we can get spare parts .. what a time to be alive.. my mind boggles at the number of illnesses I had as a kid that would've killed me in another time without penicillin
Loads happening here, raining again so more sorting this weekend. A bonfire for lots of old bills perhaps. My son is moving out.. only one more left to go and she's given me notice. Its a funny feeling, like one minute I'm almost afraid to be on my own, but then the other minute I'm excited at entering a new phase of life. My neighbours for the last 15 years have sold their house and left yesterday. I will miss them but now I can visit them on the coast! I have got a huge amount of painting, repairing and gardening to get done before summer makes it too hot. I want to rent my house out and that is going to be a mammoth task. No idea how long it will take.
Wishing everyone a lovely day/evening and look forward to catching up a bit more over the weekend.

Proper good morning,
Didn't sleep much last night. The two and half minutes I got was okay.................... I gave up after a bit and watched a fascinating programme about surgeons.
Few tears this morning as its a month since we said farewell to Bess. Just had a good cry with Jenny on the phone.........I'm so tired.

fickle.......... when the S&H left home..........he was only going 61 miles away. He was so excited and every time he popped his head out round the door to say things like 'I;ve just packed my socks' ..............'will my TV fit in the cars' I'd put this big grin on :congratulatory:..........soon as the door shut I'd sob into a cushion.

Got a banging headache so I'm going to take a couple of painkillers and have a lie down.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Howdy all! Yeah Fickle guess it's pretty much minor surgery these days...not even a general anaesthetic...my sister had one some years ago and she was crawling on all fours upstairs for weeks!
Couldn't wait to get rid of my kids...still not fully gone!

What are you waiting for ? Get going .... :welldone:
We all need to start flying again Molls. Only then will they make it completely safe by testing at the bloody airports. What they are doing now is not logical.
This Summer I actually felt SAFER in Greece than Dublin.
They were doing random testing at the Greek airports.
They are wise enough not to ban holidaymakers because their economy depends on tourism.

All activity was outdoors. If you went to the local shop you wore a mask or you'd be told to.
Everyone was on alert because they want the business and we want them to have the business. So everyone complied.
Lads on the beach sanitised the whole place including any chair or sunbed that became vacant ....

The hotel in Athens scanned everyone's temperature automatically with a camera yoke as you entered. stirly-girly I read somewhere that Athens was voted the friendliest City in Europe

I was impressed and I would go again tomorrow if MrS wasn't such a chicken about flying and I had the dosh to do it.

I agree to disagree on that one Benjy..we think completely differently tbh..and in my case it's nothing to do with being scared...but ..no..I think it's wrong..I'm happy to wait another while and had lovely times in ireland this year so win-win..but everyone has the right to their own opinions

Bit bored this evening..watching something about an Egyptian tomb...Saqqara...never even heard of it till now and it was only found recently

Morning
I actually don't know why I bawled..........he was only going to Leeds 60 miles away and he'd lived in a flat with the 'lads' for two years prior.

No flying anywhere here either the newest Mr and Mrs JC after the nightmare of coming into a the UK from Mexico while we under lockdown. They've been places in the UK that they'd never had gone to and had a ball. One was in a Yurt.

And

We haven't had trick or treaters for years but we've bought some sweeties and stuff for my new BFF across the road..........the little lad that gave me some crisps everytime we did the NHS clap thing.

Now we're off painic buying.............a proper lockdown looms.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

So I hear!! Will that go down well? Ours is (so far) pain free and everyone as far as I know seems to be compliant (I'm sure there's a few muppets but there'll always be some) - our figures are coming down already so hopefully Christmas will happen after all!! sod halloween - hate it and hated it all my life.

Fabulous morning here -- MAD windy and wild - torrential showers earlier and now the sun is blazing -- really weird -- love that sort of 'interesting' weather -- heading down the beach shortly to see the waves... we have a wee castle across the road from us - and they are projecting witchy images and ghostly stuff onto the walls of the exterior and loads of people are driving up with their kids to watch it - I think it's a brilliant idea for the year that's in it -- and all in safety --- they are doing it for the whole weekend -- very imaginative
