Been one of those days we turned up the woman who can turn two of my tapesteries into cusions a day early and she was out. Finally got her on the phone and we're booked in for tomorrow.

It is called fIe pie in England. That is where I first heard the name. Maybe it was my Irish grandmother. I don’t know fie these things are so difficult to find out. I hope your back is better soon. Nite x

Fie Pie indeed! I always learn the most fascinating things here :eek-new:
Niece is going great - day 3 of being sober - first time in 4 months. So proud of her!
My first night alone as everyone has moved out. I am left with alot of mess and garbage.. they will be bac tomorrow to clean.
Am bit zorsted from rushing about all day driving hither and thither moving things shopping for things blah blah
Am about to sit on the floor and cut out bits of architect floorplan which I did not like (for the reno) and then re-stick them back together so they look a bit more like what I actually want. Not sure if I will go ahead yet with it yet. Have realised its all total shite without the garden being sorted. The garden is everything. Am taking mornings off next week to tackle the wilderness on the side where the reno will be. I have shoulder high grass which will be a big fire hazard if I don't reckon with it quick smart. I have also made an appointment with a landscape architect to see if I can afford to do what I need to make the whole thing come together. Shall report back tomorrow.

Agree...without a lovely garden I wouldn't want the house.

Glad Jenny is feeling better JC. WHy wouldn't she be run down and stressed after a year like this teaching?

Good morning everyone. Enjoy having the place to yourself Fickle, I really enjoy having some me time but it does not happen very often at the moment. Think if I had a choice I would choose garden makeover instead of a house makeover.

Life is pretty boring at the moment so don’t have much to post about Satz. Hope you are feeling better today. Have not made fish pie in ages. The recipe I have, while tasty involves a lot of work. Have a lovely Saturday everyone.

Novemeber 14th and we still have sunflowers in the garden......................they're sturdy little beggars.

Back to to the FiePIe.......................does it have mashed potatoess on the top I makei it for Mr. JC as Im not a big fan and it is a chore.

@ techie...............tell me you didn't try jellied eels while you were in London.

Do you know what I never get sick of?

Putting myself into bed every night fresh and clean and smelling of nice things instead of passing out stinking of alcohol with grubby teeth. God I just dry wretched.

[MENTION=11089]techie[/MENTION]................it is dinner in the JC house except for the prawns as Mr JC doesn't like them. (light weight). Just give a day or two warning so I can get down to the fishmongers in town and I'll put one together for you.

Jenny's mouth is better, unfortunately two of her class have got the virus (one of them quite poorly) so she's stuck at home teaching on line again.
