Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I think it's week five of my newly re-found happiness in sobriety. Isn't it amazing when the fog finally lifts?
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

If you are reading this and saying FFS I'll never get there ...

So pick your Day 1 & go for it :hyper:

Day 1865 for Stirly!! Yay Me!

And yay to every single one of us who is sober today. It is an accomplishment to be proud of. And as satz123 says - each and every one of us started at Day 1 so why not make today YOUR Day 1. What have you got to lose? A few pounds of weight off your middle and a huge weight off your mind. So many of us here are living the sober life because we found out how liberating it is to be free of the weight of addiction. You can, too. All you have to do is not drink TODAY!
Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB) - yep - nothing like "fog-free "!!!

For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Sorry to be a pain - but I have a 'bug-bear' about this thread.
Everyone just 'likes' everyone else no matter what.

Can we respond ? or just 'like' the ones that really resound with us.
That could be someone with 7 days AF or a long termer with 10 years.

But just liking everything negates the liking - if you get my drift Too many 'likes' makes them less exciting to get. ( sad I know)
And when we get a like it will mean more.

My opinion
Tell me to feck off or really 'like' this post.

I really like your post satz123, and the reason I "like" everyone's posts is to let them know that I keep returning to read all the important numbers of days, not just shout out my days and then not return...

I understand what you mean. I think it a natural instinct to be supportive no matter how much AF time one accrues. Thoughts?
