Morning all and Happy New Year!
Need to take some time to read back but thought I'd pop in quickly.
End of 2020 and holiday period was v stressful so lost the plot a bit.
Back on track now and hope everyone is well.
Felt so dreadful when I fell off my diet etc.. and feeling so much better so quickly now. I saw this article just now so thought I'd share as it explains why.

Mr JC's just gone up to his Mum's to keep an eye on her.. Pa in Law's got a nasty chest infection and being taken to hospital. He's 91. Sister in law gone with Pa to the hospital. It shouldn't be the virus .. they were tested last week and got one of the first to get the vaccine.

Glad to see you back, Fickle.

Better get back to clutching my phone just in case there's any news.

Just sent MrS off this eve with his little bag packed.
Hip op 1st thing in the morning. As he goes in his sister coming out having had the same operation. Runs in the family it seems.

Rosie missing him already - just lolling around.

I have also heard that the Oxford/AZ one is the better option, but when you read the blurb, the all look the same. Which is probably why I didnt become a virologist.

Any news on your FIL [MENTION=7008]JackieClaire[/MENTION]? My FIL has fallen, cant get out of bed now. Really needs to be seen to but refusing to go to the hospital. None of us can help as he wont let us near the house.. Bad timing.

Yay, Fickle and Molly are back!
There is an open house in the street this morning and it is full of.....neighbours. Honestly, do they really work when it's just the social climbers from two doors up coming through?
Anyway, I am grateful that I don't have to sell my house right now.
A day of domestic goddess duties today. A quick shop, a belated new diary for the year. A new heat globe. What a dizzy existence I do lead.

I’m getting the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday. My other neighbor (not covid couple) said I’m a stupid ass for getting a vaccine that is only 95% effective. While I wanted to put him in a fist induced coma, I defended my position. I told him after a five year cancer battle and a history of asthma, I’m choosing the best option for me. I wished him well. Plus he sucks at golf and was always asking me for advice. The nerve (lol) People can be such assholes.

Thanks Jackie and Mary for the wishes for Joe..he may be coming out of ICU today fingers crossed...your father in law is dead right not to go into hospital ...they are chock full of Covid Joe wouldn't have come out alive if he hadn't been isolated in blackrock his surgeon said...still iffy
When you say you lost the plot Fickle do you mean you drank or just ate sugar? Back when I was relapsing it was like a really big deal to me and I needed support ..support can be here you know...just saying!

Good luck to Mr S with the hip..it's fairly routine so should be back home soon...where is he getting it done?

Good morning folks, nice to see you posting Molly & Fickle, glad Joe is ok. Cold, dark, wet and windy this morning which just about matches my mood. Thought about numbing out yesterday afternoon when everything and anything was annoying me but that was never an option and I know it. This dealing with s**t sober lark can be harder than they make out. Just as well I don’t have any real problems.
Techie, your neighbour sounds a knob head, let’s hope he doesn’t refuse Moderna and live to regret it. Right off to sort myself out with a long walk on the beach with dog face, at least the weather should ensure it is quiet of crowds.

Good morning everyone. Glad Joe is feeling better, didn’t realize he was in ICU, must have missed that. No wonder you were not posting, you had enough on your plate. Best wishes to the two FIL’s not a good time to be sick. Hope Mr S’s op goes well.

Would love a beach walk Tabs but outside my 5km and there will be check points everywhere. Good to see you back Fickle, stick close. I dumped a lot of sweets the other day, otherwise I would eat them. Waves to everyone else.

That was a nice 20 minutes sleep I got last night. Turns out that Pa in Law was/is very low phosphates. Makes him very breathless.
He's coming home later today.....no idea when. My poor sister in law sat in the car park for 3 hours before they found him a bed and then another four hours while the doctors prodded and poked him and found out what was wrong.
We're just awaiting orders to pick him up.

Mr JC went up to stay with his mum overnight. He says he feels like he's six as he got Weetabix and a boiled egg for his brekkie.
