Re: New Year New Start Army January 2021
My neighbor came over this morning to apologize. He said, his children have been pressing him and his wife not to vaccinate. He was sincere when admitting all his fear around the vaccines. I accepted his apology as we see them often. He is also in my men’s golf league. Normally, I let these kinds of things wash over me, but he was a huge ass. Never reacted well when people bleed all over me. Not being able to see my mom since mid February of 2020 factored into my reaction. All’s well that ends well.Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

Re: New Year New Start Army January 2021
Well Ma & Pa in law are back together. Pair of little love birds even after 60 years. Don't think Mr.JC, his sister or I slept more than 10 minutes.
Peaceful nights sleep to those who have had ops.
Our Whizzy and her family is never far from our thoughts.
And Dexter (the dog on our list)..............he's a lurcher has broken his back leg so it'll be another few weeks before we get to meet him.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: New Year New Start Army January 2021
I missed the bit about Joe being in ICU as well. Why did he end up going in Molly, was he getting worse?
Good to hear he is going home.
And MrS too, and FIL-JC.
Everyone is a bit emotionally charged right now techie. And confused and worried. Glad your getting the vaccine so quickly.
That's 2 of the Army done :check:

Re: New Year New Start Army January 2021
Happy Sunday when you arrive in it folks.
Techie I can barely leave the house without getting into a barney with someone these days. As evidenced by my standoff with the knobcloud in the Officeworks car park yesterday. Fat, old and stole my park. I think we've all got cabin fever with each other.
Would it be easier to scoop up all of the MWO folks who require hospitalisation at the moment from the Satz, Molls, JC and Tech households and just start our own health fund? Was there someone from the Starts household as well? Good Lord.
I'm glad that everyone is getting through their repective health challenges.
Also don't you have a lurcher as well as your retreiver Starty?
Mers, I was listening to this last night : Driven to drink - The shocking rise of Australia's drunk mums | 6 Minutes Australia - YouTube If you can understand the Australian. It's an old 60 minutes Australia story but it makes the hair raise on the back of my neck for so many reasons. The reporter is going quite hard at this woman who, whether she knows it or not, has a serious alcohol problem. The woman's denials are so unconvincing. Then the reporter herself makes a point of saying that her favourite time of the day is wine-time, with a big stiff smile on her face. But no, she hasn't got a problem either. Shouldn't the best part of her day be waking up to her little boy? I think it's the perfect illustration of the mine field we find ourselves traversing. Here have a drink-but control it OK? We will think you're weird if you don't drink but have no respect for you if you lose control of an addictive substance. Why do so many of us walk the tightrope, or find ourselves encouraged to do so?If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Poor MrS with his 'little hip op' I'm guessing he's not being allowed milk it for all its worth?:victorious: have to say I got 3 or 4 days of sympathy before they got fed up of me

I heard your man Hugh talking about his alcoholism some time ago and he frightened me the way he spoke...a bit like Graham Norton and that lad..he was an aid to Tony Blair...they speak about 'monitoring ' their drinking and being in control...this imo is bollix...they are all clearly alcoholics and alcoholics can NOT casually lift up and put down at will...shocking message to put out to addicts struggling
Maybe he had subsequently changed in which case I'm glad ;-)
