It was a very civilized affair, a far cry from the shenanigans there a week ago.

I let middle make the decision (or think she did). We played it forward, like we would do with booze thoughts here. Worked for today.
I know its not actual hardship for them, theres way worse out there and it will pass.. but they dont think as far as next week, its just today, tomorrow and at a stretch, the weekend.
No Satz, Masks with friends are up there with High viz when they are out for a walk or helmets on a bike. Not cool. All of which could save your life of course.. Ive tried the 2m and that doesnt work either.

Molly, Im delighted to hear Joe is back home. What a relief. Moan away, noone else is holding back (I hope!).

Snow promised and I walked in some this morning. Missed a turn and ended up doing a longer walk. Can’t walk with my friend, her daughter has covid. Got it from her boyfriends family who I have to say have been very casual about the whole thing. Miss the chats and we give thanks every day that we are over the teenage phase.

Ah no, thats a pain Rustop. Is she worried herself now? Would you chance a walk with 2m and masks?
Im seeing a lot of people walking outside with masks now.. Not sure if they are trying to protect themselves or others.

Being a Mé Féiner - I wear mine to protect ME.... I sanitize my hands and surroundings to protect ME..... if it protects others at the same time :yay:
(EXCEPT - the elderly & sick - I wear it for them )
If the mask wearing etc was promoted as that...... protecting yourself from a virus that can kill you not just old people.......they'd get better buy in.

I see the idiot Trump followers + him + the wife not a mask between them as he left ...... he is a dope.

Well everyone is behaving like a pack of Dails today. So I am taking a long lunch and looking closely through seek.com It's interesting how people are reacting to this employment crisis. Some people have got on the front foot and come out really well. Well above their previous grade. Very interesting viewing.

Satz, do the top (6) stories of the toilet extension come off? Or is it attached? Would there be no seat at all without that and your bum would fall right through to the porcelain? It's very highrise isn't it? Kind of Trump Tower-ish.

Morning folks, nice to wake up to a world that feels just a little safer this morning. You can add me to the looong list of people heartened by seeing the tango man exit stage left, what a complete waste of oxygen he is.
Wasn’t Amanda Gorman’s peom amazing, a complete antithesis to the vile rantings regularly poured out by the Dump. I can only imagine what he would come out with if he was a drinker and off his face.

Morning everyone. Absolutely amazing Tabs, thought the whole thing was very dignified. Thank God the Cheeto is gone, can you imagine what he would be like with drink. The world is a safer place. He got away with far too much but people were respectful of his office and the country he represented. Some very funny jokes doing the rounds yesterday.

My friend tested negative but very early days, it may have been too soon to show up. Her daughter has gone to stay in the boyfriends house as the whole family has it so no need to stay in one room. You are meant to isolate if you are a close contact so my friend is staying in. Probably safer as this new strain is different. One of the symptoms this group had was back pain.

Off with doggies in a few minutes for my walk, it keeps me sane.

Hello all. Glad all the patients are home safe and improving. Must be a mahoosive relief all round. As they are blokes I can imagine challenging times are still occurring though!

No work today so took myself off at 7am and walked around 6 miles which felt good although it was bl--dy freezing. Got my boy some new pjs so he is now toasty Its pet week at work so tomorrow I have a zoom meeting with both boys. I wonder how that will work out :haha:

I remember when I used to go over to Jilly in Canada - all the dogs were dressed up -- hats and shoes -- the lot! some even matched their owners outfits! Mind you it was well cold over there...

He's still very sore -- they didn't prepare us for this much pain and I'm truly hoping there's nothing wrong - but he's back into the hospital tomorrow - for stents and shit... so he's promised me he'll torment them to make sure he's okay .... it's a bit worrying... but it's good he's going in tomorrow otherwise -- oh I dunno -- there's so many doctors involved in all this I wouldn't know who to turn to.. so yeah - tomorrow is good!

If they have cracked his chest open such a short time ago, I am not surprised he is in a lot of pain! The bruising alone will be horrendous. I think stents go through the groin so much less invasive. I hope they have given him some decent pain killers. If you are worried, call the hospital. There will always be someone to put your mind at ease.

Yes, I would imagine Canada would be a definite for full garb for the dogs. With Fen, he doesnt do cold well at all and will not sleep, if he is cold we all suffer, so jammies it is while its chilly :haha:

We had snow today, Jenny just down the road in York (about 80miles) are flooded.

Sadly Tuesday is actually a check on the left eye is hunky -dory so they can continue with the right eye............they could have just asked me.... owner of both eyes....the left ...fabulous........right eye crap. Would have saved the hospital time and postage. But I'm not a doctor.
