Re: Army garrison - February 2021

Great news byebyebridgetjones :sohappy:
I would have loved to get the lottery ticket last year! Am happy enough there, but a bit of icing gives you lots of opportunity. Great news.

Saw that prime time satz123... harrowing.

Got a fantastic vegan dinner tonight. They do 1 delivery a week and the choice is small, but its really delicious, fresh and full of 'good for you' stuff.

2 more sleeps for Mr Mikey

Morning and waves to the world.
Done the housework already..............by housework I mean I've plugged my phone and kindle to charge. That'll do for now.
Couldn't sleep last night...........beyond excited and came downstairs watched the snowfall at 4am.

satz123..........I hadn't thought of that but I'll get Mr. JC to ask. He's in touch with Mikey's foster place...........apparently they've got a whatsapp group going.

Asked Mr. JC to nip into Pets at Home to make sure they sold the leash we have to get for Mikey..........yes they do. I asked the obvious question 'did you buy it?' He hadn't. His face was a picture when the penny dropped.

mollyka brit.........:hug::hug:

Good morning everyone.:hug: to Molly and Brit and anyone else who needs one. I am so excited on your behalf JC. They bring so much joy to our lives. Mine have just had a cold frosty walk and are now toasting their paws in front of the fire. Feels like a crochet day, maybe throw in a bit of reading.

I envy you your love of dogs Rusters...to me it's just a big long endless chore with feck all reward..good luck with yours too Jackie...I'm just grateful Joe didn't get this need for a mutt 40 years ago!!
Hope everyone okay? MrsA? How's it going?
Dunno if I said but Joe's home for a week...in strict orders to go back in if he declines...it's hard to tell tho...they hope the infection will be gone then and they can do the other operationy thing...we are completely isolating obviously..but ye God's this virus is getting old!!! Apparently 70% of our cases are now the more virulent UK variant...courtesy of our poxy border with northern Ireland i reckon

Not at all Molly, rant away. We can’t do anything else for you so if it helps to come on and vent go ahead.

Pity the about the timing of getting your doggy. It’s demanding and time consuming at a time when you have so much on your plate. Glad Joe is getting home and keeping everything crossed that infection clears up.

Totally agree it is getting very very old and is taking its toll. Broken relationships, mental health etc. Just heard a friend has gone into St John of Gods. She has been living in a constant state of anxiety and worry regarding her husbands health and the virus. She went in voluntarily so hopefully will get the help she needs.

mollyka..........lovely to see you and rant away.
I'm glad we live up NE of England....no one makes a rush to the beaches even in summer because its freezing all year round and we're not squashed together like London and we're not invaded by tourists.
We'll all be standing in line to punch the lights out of Boris for doing too little and too late. Well those of us who haven't departed this world or gone into a psychiatric facility due to being locked down and gone mad through lack of company.

The leash/harness is now bought.

As Rusters says it's tough. Dogs are like having bloody kids and you've enough on your plate.
And he's a pup and needs training - I think that's very hard considering you didn't want a dog. I had that myself years ago. Resented the fecker cos I was left to clean up after him.

I was never a mad dog lover - just crept up on me over about the last 2 years. I adore Rosie but also now stop and talk to all doggies when out walking - before I even look at the owners.
My sister looks at me and wonders if I'm gone mad :haha: I rarely show a soft side to the world. Bizarre really.
I think it's grandchildren replacement.

It's a pain in the arse Molls. Yep courtesy of the border & the fact that thousands fly into Dublin airport every day and head off willy nilly around the country.
If not Dublin - Belfast - and then saunter down here bringing feck knows what from wherever they were.
They need to close the "poxy" border as you so eloquently put it :haha:
It's a different country / juristican & we need to accept that & close ranks now. Such a tiny country we should have this nailed by now.

The latest is now Irish dopes are making appointments with dentists or doctors in the Canaries - getting an email confirmation - & handing it to police at the airport checkpoints as proof of need to travel.
This news came from dentists in the Canary Islands having appointments made but no-one turning up. They are off sunning themselves - ye have to laugh or you'd cry.

Donno.. giving her a shout out stirly-girly :eyes:

Was listening to the dentist visits, FFS. Well its innovative!

I agree rustop59, tolls are being taken all over and sometimes I question the decisions for the severity of the lockdowns. But then today watched the funeral of my buddys brother and it was so devastating and heartbreaking and final. So bring on the bloody vaccine.
Hope your friends recovers ok.

Great to hear that Joe's home. Hows he doing Molly?

Schools are on the mid terms now. This means that no one will go to bed for a week.

Oh before I go - having nightly 'wine dreams'.
Last night was : I was heading out for the night with my school pal ( haven't seen her in 40 years) - I was back home in my parents house & drinking secretly before I went out.
I can remember thinking - "will they notice" ? How can I stop getting completely blotto if I'm out all night - if I'm half way there already"

I can remember in my wardrobe. my sisters, and even my mother's then throwing on something & open toe sandals a la the '70s with cork heels. Went out in - 3 weather - toes not painted = very graphic ....... :haha:

Discuss this madness ...

Morning,
D-Day is here and I've got anxiety coming out of my ears because I'm overthinking.
1)What if they change their mind
2)Its a hoax (good one for 3am)
3)We haven't got his bedding
4)He'll hate us on sight.

satz123..........haven't had a drinking dream for a while. Why not treat yourself to a dream diary and search what is their meaning.

I'd better get dressed........its Baltic outside. The hand over is taking place outside and complicated ..............reminds me of a spy film when the Russians swap one of our spies with one of there's in the middle of a bridge.

Right, I'd better get the 9 layers of clothing on.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning everyone. As I said yesterday it is getting to everyone at this stage and even though the dreams are mad maybe it is your subconscious telling you something? Better dreaming about it than actually doing it. Absolutely pelting snow here today, not the nice fluffy kind,

JC you back yet? Can’t wait to hear about Mikey and how he is setting in. Fire on and feet up with a book and crochet beside me,
