Definitely, would love to hear from some oldies. Safe travel Molly and enjoy your time in Kerry. Today was the best of the days so far, only had one shower.

Delighted you got your ring re-sized JC. I have stopped wearing mine, apart from wedding ring as I sanatize my hands so many times during the day, especially at work.

Evening Army! oh no rings for me for over a year -- same reason Rusters.. poor old hands are in a dog rough state from the sanitizer -- can't imagine it would do the rings any good!

Beautiful beyond beautiful down here -- the house is absolutely stunning - half way up a mountain looking out to the sea on one side and Lough Currane on the other... Max is in heaven wandering from room to room - every minute is an adventure to him... off to climb another mountain tomorrow .. when are you off to Galway and Connemara Rusters? Weather is to be on the up in the next while tho it's grand here today -- not warm but sparkling blue skies.

It's only when someone puts up a link to a thread some years back that I realise how many folks have disappeared -- hopefully maybe moved on to better things -- but we all know the essence of this 'condition' so 'hopefully' is the word unfortunately! Come on back lads and give us an old update huh??

Max is faffing around - not keen on his new bedroom --- so think I'll slink off to bed and leave himself in charge -- talk tomorrow folks xxxx

Re: Army May 2021

Hi all, another nice early Sunday morning, weathers not great though. This is my favorite sober time of the week probably something to do with all the years I denied myself this simple pleasure. I suppose everyone is sick of hearing about Cov at this stage but just wanted to share. I got my first Pfizer jab last week, DW who has many health issues got her AZ one 7 weeks ago due to her conditions but will not receive her 2nd for anther 5 weeks, me in 3. Seems daft somehow but there we are. We would love to get off down the country for a short break, not fussy where, I know the first jabs offer us some level of protection but honestly feel we can’t risk it yet, am I being paranoid or not? If this is all I have to worry about right now, then lucky me eh.

Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Well according to James in the Helix ( he's a doctor so should know something!?) The one dose of AZ gives better protection after one jab than any of the others after two..so the missus should be grand..and the Pfizer one seems good..I am so isolated down here there could be black death around us and it wouldn't matter..I'll try and put up some photos MrG..not sure I know how!
Morning all!

I'm not a completely rubbish person technology-wise -- but jeez I've never in all these years managed to put up a photo or attachment nor nothing on this site -- how can it be so complicated?? part of my job is putting up kids crafts etc on the library website and I can do that in my sleep so why is this so complicated?? sorry MrG -- can't do it.. and I've THE most beautiful photo's literally taken out the windows of the house -- two amazing waterfalls -- the atlantic rolling in and magnificent mountains.. all from ONE house.. I'd recommend this place to anybody and it's cheap as chips -- just had a beeeeooootiful big fry up and heading off to one of the waterfalls now with Max - could be a bit of a hike so see yiz when I see yiz!

Good morning everyone. Same here Tabs, I got the Pfizer one and hubby AZ. He has no underlying condition and cocoons most of the time, working from home. Also like Molly we are going to a pretty isolated place so no crowds. Do what you are comfortable with.

Sounds idealic Molly. We are off the bank holiday weekend in June. If you click on the photo icon in the text box it asks if you want to insert image and you can choose from photo library or ULR. Choose your library and what photo, hope that helps. Not very nice day here but might put on waterproofs and walk.

Re: Army May 2021

Morning and waves to the world,

It was my engagement ring. Its made with opals so I can't get it wet. I don't wear it every day.....in fact it must be years since I've worn it......its special occasions only We were just at a different shopping centre and nipped into a jeweller to see if they could a) make it bigger (I've developed fat fingers) b) they could do it at a reasonable price.

I got opal earrings when Jenny was born and pendant when the S&H appeared. The S&H was a bit of a surprise. I was nigh on 4 months pregnant when I realised it wasn't leftover baby flab. So I ended up with 2 under two years old and I was the one who didn't want any children at all. Glad they're here now...........well most days. They're very precious to me.............the opals not the kids. I'm quite fond of them.

byebyebridgetjones........would I be able to get Tom Yum in England?........I'll give it go. I'm sick and tired of opening the fridge door 20 times a day wondering what we're having for dinner.

mollyka............I can't do pictures either. The kids seem to be able to take a quick shot on their phone and in a nano-second its on FB.

Jenny and Ads are popping in before they go home after the Europarty they were at last night. It'll be easy to feed them ................just water so they can re-hydrate.
I know the UK got a stomping zero but I rather enjoyed it. They're both getting their first jab tonight.

My second and last is on Tuesday. Mr JC gets his second on Tuesday as well. Means we can run around Tesco naked but we've still got to wear a mask and use the sanitizer.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

New/old hobby? Anything you enjoyed years ago and let go or did not have time for over the years. I did crochet as a child and went back a few years ago. Has given me hours of enjoyment since.

When I'm sad or just plain 'down' or even seriously depressed I have no concentration..so I simplify my reading or television watching..when Joe was ill the rubbish I watched in box sets...but I found that really worked (and I'm not a great Tele person at all)...

Thanks Rusters -- might give that a go later -- Max and I were NEARLY swimming today -- atlantic a bit cool -- the Irish Sea on our side of the island is a bit milder for us soft East Coasters!!!! Right -- going to make dindins -- found a lovely take-out for tomorrow night -- sounds exotic so that'll be a right old treat -- heading up another mountain tomorrow -- if my legs don't give out -- think we walked about 40k steps today according to Joe's fitbit -- feels like it anyway!!! laters gaters
