Tabbers, im expecting to get the J+J this week (no text yet but others in my age bracket are getting this one). 1 dose only, 66%. Im thinking if thats deemed as sufficient to protect a massive amount of the population, 1st dose of the others are not far off that. As Rusters says, whatever you are comfortable with.

Evening Army..delighted to hear you back on the straight and narrow Ficks...leaping off that ledge back into sobriety is a big decision..so close your eyes- hold your nose andddddddd JUMP!!
thanks Rusters yes we had a stunning day..home now tired and weary..poured a huge bath(haven't had a bath for nigh on 2 years..no bath at home)and feel wonderful! Less wonderful when I realised the posh take-out down here only opens weekends :egad: pure shock horror!!!! It'll have to be pizzas...not my favourite

Are you still in Kerry then Molly?
Good luck with the exams, small Marys. Did they leave it until the last possible moment like I used to?
I am watching this great YouTuber called Fairyland Cottage who is into simple and frugal living. She's got me getting up early and off into the garden. What a great way to start the day for a couple of hours - pottering.
Have a lovely day all.
KTAB I'm off for my first jab soon too. Not too keen , only because they'll force me back to work once that's done.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

My work are asking us to tell us when we are vaccinated too and what vaccine we got - also to get us back into the office! dont think we are obliged to tell them, so I might forget to send off that email.
Molly, sounds like a fab holiday! Even with the pizza :joyous:

Re: Army May 2021
Still in Kerry Bridge..here till Saturday ..bit misty this morning but due to clear up..heading to another Head today for walkies and paddles..Sheep or Goat or some such Head ;-) will cook today found an artisan butcher real interesting stuff he sells so we'll cook something exotic between us.
Can't imagine getting my lot to do anything in school if they'd had ready access to all things internetty!
Morning all else.
Was wondering how long so called employers could bear to lose their so important 'authority' guessed the recall to offices would be sooner rather than later...I think I'm glad to be back ..I've missed the part of life where I'm thinking 'I must tell xxx where we went' or just the general chit chat and gossip of work life...deffo missed all that ..
Now the problem...big ignorant fry up for breakfast or fresh fruit and brown bread hmmmmpfContentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Hey @Satz, how did the tests go or have you had them yet? Not doing too good on the diet the past week. It was daughters birthday at weekend and there was a bbq, cake etc and I’m afraid I tuned Gerard out. Will get back on track this week.

Re: Army May 2021
Hey Rusters
..this diet lark is very complicated..and it is very comparable to addiction in Joe's case..cos we're on hols I bought some chocolate and biscuits..omg it's like someone pressed a button in his head..he is literally snaffling EVERYTHING he can find..if I'm going to buy milk he's asking for ice cream.. if anything needed he wants goodies. I go to bed earlier than him..watching Outlander again on DVD ..I hear him clearing out the fridge. It's hard and seems wrong to be saying no to an adult man but I know he REALLY doesn't want to put weight back on him..he's like a 'dry drunk' of sweet stuff..definitely not dealing with the underlying cause of junk eating and imo as unlikely to quit junk as I would be unlikely to quit drinking if I wasn't treated...it sounds like your system is treating diet the right way thoContentedly sober since 27/12/2011

First jab is good, second even better, life can begin to return to normal, whatever that was, or maybe not. Perhaps we collectively have learned a few things over the past year or so, I certainly wish that the case. Personally for me I would say it has been humbling.
Work? I see it now as a means to an end, trading our valuable, limited time for money is just what we have to do, until we don’t. So for me that is making the most of it, no point in wasting good energy irritated by what I can’t change today, but change is coming.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Tricky one Molly. Easier to manage at home, you have more control, now your out of your routine and its sounds like he broke out and had 'just the one' - we all know how that ends. He needs to sign up to Gerard!
The current crisis here is that Mr M has found his shiny WHITE tracksuit bottoms that I promptly hid when they arrived. Honestly, I am unclear how they even made it into a shop. He looks like hes going fencing, but the stained worn out hoodie confuses that look. He has promised not to go out in public, but its only a matter of time. :hopelessness: Sigh...AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:
