My only problem with part-time is that in both organisations I worked in folks who aren't there 5 days a week are sort of side-lined..wouldn't bother me now but when I was younger it may have.
Heading off to Valentia Island now..bit of a misty day but it'll be grand...how's everyone?
Hope you feel better JC. Just about to book my first dose of AZ and hoping for the best!
Good to see you around fickle and sorting through the head stuff. It is absolutely the first and most important thing to get right, that's for sure.
Lovely photos Techie. Are you climbing on ice there though? Just looking at the last photo?
I love the true crime podcasts, brit, but that may not be the uplifting content that you are looking for?
rustop I've noticed a shortage of the strangest things in shops, like plants at the local nursery? They are from within the country so I can't quite work that one out?
Have a great day everyone. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: Army May 2021
Morning..feel better soon Jackie..do you check in with your doc? You seem to suffer a lot of things..maybe could do with an overall check over?
Well exactly Bridge..they've already done the side lining for you..now play the feckers at their own game..fully intend on doing similar in my last year..I truly owe them nothing..I work hard and more than earn the pittance they give me as I'm sure do you..all the ridiculous sycophants doing half the work and getting away with it!! Good for you Bridge..I'm up for you:welldone:Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Well done Techie it sounded fabulously dangerous.
Hopefully you are feeling better JC as it looks like a good weekend ahead.
Good to see you Fickle.
Hello to everyone else and thank you for the audio recommendations.
I binge watched Innocent, Motherland and Pursuit of Love. Any more recommendations?

Morning everyone. Hope you are feeling a bit better this morning JC. Afraid I don’t really have any Netflix recommendations Brit, have not watched anything in a while. Been on a bit of a reading spree instead. Any of the Irish read Sam Blake? Think she lives locally and just finished The Dark Room, quiet good. Put a few other ones she wrote on reserve on BorrowBox.
Horrible morning here. Will walk later. Farrier coming to the ponies this morning and I am helping out.

Re: Army May 2021
Morning and waves to the world,
techie..........I had my first AZ about 9 weeks ago with no bother apart. The second and final one I knocked me sideways. I was so tired. Came home and read all the guff that comes with your 'invite' said the tired could happen............it knocked me sideways same happened with my neighbours and Aunt.
mollyka.......we're changing doctor to the one up the road on the phone yet again........... I'll get a good going over by one of them (that sounds charming but you know what I mean) and I'll get a good long chat with said doctor. It may take some time as the practice I've been with now since I was born.
Today I have a phone appointment with my cataract doctor.
Keep everything crossed that he's got a slot for me.Last edited by JackieClaire; May 28, 2021, 07:01 AM.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Yes, I heard that about the 2nd dose.
I got my 1st shot today. Arm is sore, but grand otherwise. 4 weeks to the next one.
