Re: Army May 2021

Morning everyone. Very jealous JC, lol. We have had hail, sleet, frost the past week. Beautiful sunshine this morning and feel blessed to have had my walk.

Waves to everyone else, off now to do the dreaded grocery shop l

Re: Army May 2021

Another day of weird weather. Glorious sunshine and within minutes hailstones and its hissing down. Mikey will be packing his bags and going back to Romania at this rate.
The lovely thing is he's settling in beautifully. He's getting stuff out of the toy box to play with and not the shy boy we got.

Good night to those going to bed and morning to those getting up to start their day.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning and waves to the world and as per usual, the weather is atrocious.
Wonder if I'm going to bookend today?
If we can get to the car through the hail, wind and downright crap weather we're going to trip to a different supermarket.
Ah but there again we have the excitement of us having hearing tests on Tuesday.

Morning JC and all to come. Absolutely lashed rain during the night. My daughter got up at 4 am and did the darkness into light walk. People do it every year in aid of a suicide organisation. No big organised walks because of covid but her group at work who are together every day, met up, walked and saw the sun rise.

The dog was meant to go with her but I think he had more sense. Great that Mikey has settled in so well, he is one lucky pup. Waves to everyone else. Wonder how Stirly is, anyone hear from her?

Thought I'd chuck a few hugs around. Think we all need one now and again.

Well good evening -- all and sundry - what have all disappeared????!!!

Just in - had my dinner and ready for bed ;-) no news here -- indeed Mikey is a lucky dog...

Woke up to the lashing rain and my heart went out to anyone doing the Darkness into Light -- I did it with Jilly a few years back - but it was a beautiful night - big sky of stars and yup the dawn at the end of it... it was a very moving experience - did your daughter love it Rusters?

Not much to say - so just waving and wishing yiz well xx

mollyka............what's the Darkness into light?

Another atrocious weather day. We went to the jeweller to get my engagement ring made a bit bigger. Haven't been able to get it over my knuckle on my ring finger for well over a year. The jewellery reckons I may have arthritis. I wasn't having the best of days and that just about made me start to blub. So will be off for a google of home remedies before begging the doctor for an appointment. This getting on in years isn't for teenagers.
I love it and miss wearing it...............its a white/plain green opal. Mr JC got me earrings to match when Jenny was born and a necklace when Mickey (the son not the dog) came along.

Darkness into Light....it's a yearly run/walk for Pieta House....it's an organisation helping folks with suicidal thoughts/attempts...you walk at night to dawn ..hence the name ...gets great support all over the country.

If it's osteoarthritis ( most common) diet is important and regular exercise ..not really medication except for painkillers when really sore...I've had it lifelong it's very common and not something to worry about really.

It's not really that bad - just adding drama :haha:

Yeah diet Molls. I always think - for some reason - oily fish or fish oil capsules are good for osteoarthritis ?
Just the simple thing of oiling our joints - like a human version of WD40 ...

I was expecting the 5am wake up call for Darkness into Light, but the rain won.
Then it turned into a gorgeous day.
Youngest still restricting movements, 2nd test tomorrow. Thankfully all negative so far.

Hair appointment on Monday and I CAN NOT WAIT!

Night all..

Morning! Yes fish oils etc as you say..it's a lifestyle change really but it's so automatic you don't even notice..I had to think of changes I made years ago..if it's rheumatoid arthritis is a different thing.
My hair appt. Wed week Mary...have been butchering it but want it shorn now so it won't be a problem..I feel unkempt at the moment so yeah...start of my hols hair will be done!
Lost the head again yesterday at untrained dog so thankfully Joe is taking it back on board..he's not untrained but because he's big and strong he needs to learn not to knock me over every time I walk in a door!
Now cuppa in bed and my book ...lovely!!!
Missing a few Army folks???!!!

Morning all. Just been for a lovely walk with a couple of friends and its warm! Not sunny but lovely and balmy which is great. Long may it last. Decorated my hall and most of the stairs yesterday and today will do a bit of housework and then chill. Doing pilates and taking CBD for arthritis. Molly what did you do for yours? Doc has given me some painkillers but I dont want to take them often. Dont really like taking pills unless they do more than just kill the pain :haha:

Enjoy the hair appts Molls and Mary. It feels so good to have it done after all this time. I have gone from waist length to just above shoulder length and its a blessed relief
