Re: Army May 2021
Evening, got my Turmeric and cod liver oil There's a giant Holland Barret smack in the middle of Tesco. I let Mr. JC listen to yer woman gush on about them so he's now the expert.
I'm a new woman already. Will one of you please remind me to take them. That way I get it from two sources of nagging........in the nicest way. I know me I get very enthusiastic then sort of go off the boil so to speak.
Mr JC's got a whole week off and apart from our hearing tests on Tuesday the world is our lobster or is it oyster???
We were going to have a nice wander around the gardens at Alnwick castle but we have to put the dog in a cage while we have a wander. Think Mikey's had enough of crates to last him a lifetime so that was a no. We'll take him to the seaside before thay shut some of the beaches to dogs.
And Mr JC got some bedding plants at Tesco that were a damned sight better than the ones we saw at the garden centre so he's like a pig in mud now. The new fencing is on hold at the moment as they've run out of wood.
You know for a while ( a long while to be honest) I've got a bit of enthusiasm back.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning all. I will deffo miss the peace and the sense we are all doing something together - it has brought out the best in a lot of people.
On the other hand I really feel the older folk have paid a high price - they have been literally 'locked away like a prisoner" (as one of them said yesterday) since March 2020.

Re: Army May 2021
Morning,
Congratulations (not sure if that's the proper words). I don't know if its the same over there but there's a lot of charities have taken on the burden of looking after the elderly, those who live alone, domestic abuse, food banks etc..........I could go on.
Those elderly people have paid their taxes over the years and should have been cared for a damned sight better.
Had to go and look to see when its all going back to normal be over............ its the end of June if we've all been good boys and girls and we all be vaccinated, had it or dead.
If anyone can make sense of this gets a lolly.

Re: Army May 2021
I'm guessing it's lunacy to be talking about eliminating face masks altogether...no one seems to be factoring in the variants that are running riot in the 3rd world ..the people nobody seems to think worthy of vaccinating..some of these variants have already been shown resistant to the vaccines...very premature imvvvvvvhoContentedly sober since 27/12/2011

Re: Army May 2021
Just going to drop a quick hello in here but I'm bloody tired and will have to come back on the morrow to comment and read back.
Hope youz are all well and coming off restrictions is very exciting for you! Unfortunately we've gone back on and been extended for another week as well. We have still had it much, much easier than you lot have.
Anyway, I'm babbling so I'm off.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: Army May 2021
Night Bridget, waves to everyone else. Sorry to hear about more restrictions, that’s what I would be afraid of here but fingers crossed. Lovely to have the inter county travel, it will mean so much to see family. Don’t think I will bother going near shopping centres for a while.
Just in from work so need to get some food and then have a read back.

Re: Army May 2021
Apologies ..............first those was the last rules from our dear powers that be................we've got new ones starting next Monday. I'll put them on tomorrow when they've put them more understandable way ..............well to me anyway. I could ask Boris to pop by.
It does mean I can hug my son and daughter whenever I want.......there's another load of blurb but you can work that out. :happy2:
With Mr JC on holiday, we had a wee trip to our newest shop. Home Bargains..............the excitement of it all. We're stocked with toilet roll until the next millennium, peanut biscuits and some mini ice lollies.
Best bit was when we emerged and there was a huge thunderstorm and it hissed down.It was that kind of thunder that makes windows rattle then glorious sunshine all afternoon. It could be worse, I could be filing.
