Re: Army May 2021

Evening Tabbers! Not doing veg in a serious way this year Jacks...Mutt has literally emptied my raised beds..not just of veg. but all the soil as well..think my heart would ache if I got up each morning to another crop 'rotivated' so will do onions leeks and parsley..apparently he hates them..just as well cos certainly the onions would poison him..so he won't go within an asses roar of them..other than that I'll hold off till he's 4...according to youse lot he may have some sense by then :welldone:
Goodnight all and good luck with the hearing tests..must be great craic in your house neither of you can hear the other?

Molls have you tried the half full plastic bottle trick I told you about. Try it and see for a laugh.
Also get the bleach out & grow chili peppers

Late checkin.
Pity about YS satz123. My cousin who was at rehab around the same time as YS has gone through the wars. Long story short, my aunt has finally washed her hands of him. Hes gone from his own apartment with a sea view to a room in a hostel in town.
We are holding our breaths...

So sorry to hear about YS and your cousin Mary. Its the worst dealing with others drink problems.

Have you tried giving Muttley his own sandpit to dig in? You can bury stuff in there for him to find and it would be his very own wrecking place. Sure he would love it. Many people get one of those child pools and fill with builders sand

Morning,
Feels like the middle of the night for me. Haven't had to set an alarm for nigh on eighteen months.
Anybody made any coffee............I'll take two.

mollyka....I can hear fine with my wee ear trumpets but its time for Mr JC to seek some truth.....its a cross between sign language, shouting, saying pardon a 300 squllion times a day. Mind you ignoring works the best.

Felt like I was getting ready for a date last night not just my ear-trumpet woman. Going out for us is a quick whizz round Lidl and sometimes Poundland is as far as it goes these days.

My ear-trumpet appointments not until 9am but we're not sure what a)the traffics like b) whether we'll get a parked.

I'll be having my nanna nap at 11am I was waking up every 10 minutes just in case I missed the alarm.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: Army May 2021

Morning! And another victim of alcohol Mary --- your poor aunt -- the boy who went to Spain -- christ he's in a bad way too -- he somehow heard Joe had been ill and he managed to gather together chocolates grapes and wine (despite full knowing Joe hasn't had a drink in YONKS!) -- that's the good part -- he then proceeded to someone else's house to deliver them - no idea where - and had a row with the house owners cos they weren't Joe... bless him -- he always was the kindest loveliest man -- it's still in there - just very well buried... it's so poxy sad.... think alcohol will have become a major problem in lockdown -- could take some time before the true extent is known -- I do know that wine sales tripled in one of our supermarket chains -- not sure which one.

I will try the plastic bottle Benjy --- the veg plot isn't down in my haven tho - so far more at risk - hence the onions! My own wee garden is purely for beauty -- and fragrant herbs... -- I tried a sandpit Starts -- the 'permission' or lack of seems to be the attraction tho -- like my slippers -- as soon as I give up on them and let him have them he loses interest -- it's hard to pretend lack of interest in beds full of beautiful perennial flowers! Maybe the swimming pool when it's warmer!

Now back to my pre-retirement course... it's not geared towards me or my like -- they are just talking to folks who have 40 years public service -- my previous career was in the private sector so I've less than 20 pensionable years -- so it's all irrelevant really.... waste of time.. could be gardening:happy2:

laters gaters -- good look with the ears Jacks

Ahh Molls, that's just so sad. The majority of alkies I know are lovely. It pisses me off the to nth degree that an 'alkie' in a lot of books, magazines and many TV programs is are shown as violent, criminal, wife beaters or thieves.
Rant over.

The hearing exam was a tad delayed as a fire alarm went off so we all had to stand outside.........it is not warm today.

My hearing is a little worse so my lovely ear person adjusted them on the computer. Its all very clever.

Mr JC........ has got wax in his earholes. There must be enough in there to make candles for Canterbury Cathedral the number of pardons and say that again I get.

Hey guys, just checking in. Was called away to country Victoria for a funeral, long drives. Haven't had time to read back but look forward to doing so.

Afternoon all. Glad you both got the ears sorted JC. Sorry to hear about young Satz and your cousin Mary, bloody awful disease. My news is that I got a text yesterday evening and I am getting my vaccine this evening. Not much notice but who cares. I am also getting the Pfizer one so happy days, it means I will get my second shot in about four weeks. I was thinking of visiting my daughter when fully done but from what I read yesterday Norway have closed their borders to all non residents since January so I might not get in.

Your garden sounds delightful Molly. We used a kid’s paddling pool last summer when it was hot and the dogs loved it.

Me too Molls - horrible !
but I found this BRILLIANT stuff and it softens it enough that I don't have to go to get syringed every few months - maybe every 2/3 years.
Cerumol Ear Drops 1ml - Phelan's Pharmacy
JackieClaire - get it for MrJC and even if he has to get them syringed the doc will be delighted how easy you've made the job for him !

Oh God Molls - so very sad - how is he surviving on his own ?
At least YS has us here if needed.
I dread the thought of what my mother's house is like. A drunk man living on his own - can't be pretty.
I can't bring myself to go up ...... it'd break my heart.
Mr S went up to do the garden - said it was 'ok' .................

Poor man Molly. The good heart is still there, buried under frustration and addiction.
Has to be a lot of people using booze as a crutch over the past year.

Great news Rustop! it wont be long before we can travel freely in Europe.

Hello Everyone.
New forced-into job is a nightmare.
I think I know what the Man who went to Spain on a Plane feels like. Totally confused and the world makes no sense. Still getting work from the old job as well. What organisation completely collapses a team of eight people and makes no arrangement for the ongoing work allocation. Also, my knee has blown up with the worst arthritis ever and I can hardly walk.

So happy....

Back tonight I hope.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
