Re: Army June 2021

Morning everyone! Just back from a truly lovely break. Weather just about perfect, accommodation wonderful and feeling nice and rested. Hop[e all are OK?

I have seen that series Hospital./ It is a real eye opener and although frightening to think of how difficult it is to get care these days, it does show the carers as incredibly well caring. Its so easy to hear about the bad side of the NHS that I think it provides a good balance. Plus it really does make one count our blessings.

Just been for a lovely walk and now out for another. Weather not so great today and heating back on.

Brilliant that you can now travel Mrs A!

Off for a Sunday run.

Good morning everyone. That is wonderful news Brit, hopefully I will get to make a trip soon too. Enjoy your run. Delighted to hear that you had a nice break Starty and feel rested. Weather not as nice here today but no rain yet.

No major plans for the day. Will take it easy as I was up late last night chauffeuring. Have a lovely Sunday and hope all the Dads are spoiled.

Afternoon and happy Fathers day to the Dads out there.

You are absolutely right satz123.. These documentaries are important, its stuff going on under our noses - which I do always read about to keep up to date, but sometimes I find them hard to watch, because its IS awful.

Great news brit!! will you go for a few weeks maybe? Rustop, thats good for you too.

Hopefully JC will be back i a couple of days Molls. no harm having a little break, speaking of.. Welcome back starty! Holiday sounds like it really recharged the batteries!

Quick dive through people as I'm just about to start work for the week. Really struggling this morning. A lot of arthritis pain and sadness.

I hope Sarah's gone home now Satz... Nobody knows how trying it can be caring for the elderly until you've done it

Nice to see you Starty!

Molly, it's just not logical to me that the true essence of a person would disappear with their body. Makes no sense. Apart from that, I have no insight at present.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I'm here.............I don't know what happened but I went into a terrible funk. It came out of the blue. I'm slowly climbing out of the black hole I was in. I slept more than I should do. Some of you I have met in person........... some just through chatting on here but one thing I have learnt who my real friends are and like it or not its you lot.

See you in the morning?

Morning all! Good to see you JC. Yes periods of depression are truly horrible and seem to come out of the blue. Difficult to manage. Glad you are feeling better! Do you know what triggered it?

Sorry about your arthritis pain bridge. It really is a horrible thing isnt it? One min not too bad then the next really painful. The joys of ageing.

Satzy you must have the patience of a saint. Poor Sarah

Back to work today (in spare bedroom/office) which I am quite looking forward to. Im sure the novelty will wear off by about 11am :haha:

Re home hols. I adore holidaying in this country. Its my home and so many lovely places to visit. Plus so easy to simply pack up and go, then pack up an come back. No major travel plans needed and my dogs are happy which means so much to me. When we got out of the car at the barn we stayed in, the dogs leapt out and ran to the front door. They love it there and settle immediately. It feels like their home from home . The barn is set up for doggy holidays with beds, bowls, poo bags, leads and throws so that they can sit on the sofa's without worrying. If you want to have the dogs sleeping on your bed, all they ask is that you bring your own bedding. I always take lots of old duvet covers. The owner always writes to us to thank us for leaving the property so immaculate after our stay which is lovely and they dont even charge us a deposit any more.

Morning (just)
I was already on anti-depressions and spoke to my doctor about 8 days ago and she's upped the level of the tablets. I'll be speaking to her again later this week. Makes me wonder if we'll ever actually sit in a room with one.
brit...........delighted you'll get away to see your daughter.

We must have been about 4 times over the years.

We've got one booked for October in the Yorkshire Dales. Can't for the life of me remember exactly where but as its a Friday check-in Jenny and Ads are going to be able to stay for a night or two.

I've got a date for my other cataract removal ...............7th July.

Afternoon everyone.

Welcome back JC. Sorry you were in a bad place and delighted you are back and getting meds sorted, also that you got a date for the operation.

Sounds like a wonderful place Starty and great that the doggies are so much at home. I find that a lot of places here don’t mind small dogs but draw the line at large ones.

What type of training Molly? Our fella could probably do with more. He is good on lead and comes for whistle when on a chase but can ignore me when he is meeting someone. Should put more effort in but he is not my dog!

Nice day here again. Just tried to buy gas and they are completely sold out. Seems with all the outside dining there is huge demand!
