Know exactly how you feel. Spent 4 or 5 days ringing estate agents regarding a viewing. Nobody came back to me and eventually someone left a voicemail that it was being bought by a family member and off the market!!

To add to the difficulty to make contact stories ....... I had a poor guy run into our reception today 'cos he was desperate. His father had just died & he COULDN'T CONTACT THE FECKING UNDERTAKER !!!
All the website said was "we are closed"
FFS !!!
His mother used to work with us so he asked if we could help.
Seriously ??

That's absolutely appalling...and a lot of these Muppets are leaving the office landline on their websites and then snuggling up at home with a mobile....aaaarrrrgggghhh!
Not on a level with the undertaker..if we need stationary or whatever..the library 'secretary' who organises all that..is at home...she has to find out if anyone is actually AT work who can contact stores and physically organise for anything from printer paper to office chairs be sent out...like what earthly purpose does she serve at home????

Another beautiful morning, am really enjoying this weather, probably because I know that it is coming to an end. Have a good day at work Molly.

Off to the cottage in the south east today. Himself is fishing all week, I’ll come back to work and then go back again Wednesday. Don’t have enough holidays and I don’t really know if there is enough to do down where we will be.

I set my alarm this morning as its a busy day and ignored it so not quite awake yet. Got a birthday cake cutting for niece this aftie at sister-in-laws and we don't know what train Jennie is coming on. The fridge is empty so a big shop is needed.

Hello Army. A quick shout out to those dealing with nothing but shite. A loving warm hello to those who are not. It is another hot, smoky day here, with wildfires completely surrounding us. The air quality index was 497 this morning. We can’t even walk the dog. She’ll just have to use her doggie door to the backyard. In other news regarding said doggie. A neighbor wrote us a scathing letter accusing us of allowing our dog to go on his lawn. This didn’t happen. When we walk we carry waste sacks with us. We use them. Also, the dog is never let out on her own. Crazy stuff. This guy has pulled this kind of BS (according to others) before and is a total asshole. I think if God made penis’s all the same size the world be much better off. Have a great weekend. I will. Blessings x

Maybe choosing or staying with the wrong partner who doesn't do the job properly......but that's no excuse, more an explanation.

Hidy Ho everyone,

Managed to move my roses before it started raining too hard. It was a lot more work than I thought it would be. only 6 roses but being quite established I had to dig a large clump around them up and fight with tree roots and whatnnot. Pleased to say I'm showered and warm in front of the fire now listening to the rain.

Sorry to hear about the smoke and wildfires Techie. My experience of our 2019-20 fires is still fresh in my memory as we head towards summer here. I have an evaporative cooler on my roof so it was really tough times in peak summer then - couldn't breathe outside and was incredibly hot and we couldn't open the windows or turn on the cooler because it would just suck in smoke. Investing in good smoke filtering masks is really important.

Happy hangover free Sunday morning folks. I find myself in a bit of a strange place, because I am lazy and not posting regularly it gets harder to do so without appearing as though I couldn’t give a monkeys about you guys and the invaluable support system here. Do I comment on everything that has been going on individually in the army since last I posted or do I just comment and offer support to those who sound like in need of some, option three is I just post allaboutme.com yet again so here goes.
It’s been a tough week, problems within the family and my job have been really grinding me down and on Friday I felt I could easy take the escape from it all route for a few hours at the bottom of bottle. But that was never an option as I reminded myself I don’t drink and tbh I didn’t want a drink, just the escape. I honestly don’t get cravings for al anymore, I don’t torture myself with thought of just one and dreams of the mythical moderation route. Finding other ways of coping with stress and when it seems absolutely everything is getting on top of us is all part of the sober journey, I am learning.
Enjoy your day and do be kind to yourselves.

As a footnote to my earlier post, and my not posting often, I don’t often feel I have anything to contribute. I think it somehow still feels like when I was in a group of people relaxing and chatting and I felt I was lacking the social skills to fully join in the conversations. I know that probably seems ridiculous in this context as we are on a forum. AL took that feeling of inadequacy away and I felt I was able to engage, obviously it was hiding other things. Growing up is hard.
