Ah Techie. Try not to worry. You are both vaccinated ? Booster ?
So even if positive you won't be as ill.
Think on the bright side - it could just possibly be flu. The tiredness would point towards that.
    I'm no doctor though ....

Lovely news on your daughter - focus on that & let her do the running & you rest up

How do you feel about that?

Like Benjy says Techie...hopefully it'll be minor if you do have it...I feel at this stage with vaccines and boosters they'll probably let it rip and hope for herd immunity !

Good morning folks and a special wave to Pauly. Techie fingers crossed it’s just a mild flu bug you guys are experiencing and it passes soon.
I am awake especially early for a Sunday as I have thumping headache and a dry mouth as well as feeling like I have been run over, anyone remember that feeling? Glugging the cold water and munching a couple of paracetamol. I image it is a result of the booster I received but blimey does it feel like a bad hangover, reminiscent of when we used to tell ourselves ‘never again’ while never truly believing that could or would be the case. What a gift that was we gave ourselves. I am so grateful.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Re: December Army Thread with Extra tinsel and Joy

Hi all. Thanks for the support. Rapid test was negative for me & positive for my wife. We had also a NAAT test with results tomorrow. Mrs Techie is doing well. Just totally exhausted. Although my symptoms seem to be similar, we will see what the hospital results are. The husband of the couple we were with was admitted to the hospital this afternoon. He also golfs in my Monday club foursome. My wife thinks he has diabetes but I didn’t know. I pray he’ll be ok. So, its been a crazy day. Thanks again !

              Good morning everyone.

Hugs to everyone struggling with health issues, either physical or mental. It really is a difficult time. Hope your friend who is in hospital is ok Techie. Rest and take care of yourself and as someone just said leave the running to your daughter.

Speaking of daughters mine is coming home today from Norway. It will make Christmas. Did not want to think what it would be like if she was stuck over there.

Foggy old morning here and none of us miss that horrible hungover feeling Tabs. Hubby felt rough for a few days after booster too. Worth it though. I was so relieved he got it.

Better get up and deal with my herd of dogs and get my daughters room ready. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Re: December Army Thread with Extra tinsel and Joy

Hola from the freezing cold Sierra Mountains. I tested negative. My wife was confirmed positive on second test. It seems I just have a cold or low level flu. We are taking Mrs Techie for monoclonal antibodies infusion in a few hours. She is feeling exhausted with odd body aches but no concerning respiratory issues atm. I came very close to pouring a drink last night but realized that was not the prudent course of treatment. Phew. I’m moving into one of the upstairs bedrooms. I’m scheduled for a retest on Tuesday afternoon. The BIG issue is my daughter who is scheduled to come here New Year’s Day. Thankfully, her airline ticket is refundable.

                        P.S.

Here she is after her trail run marathon in Arizona. She finished 7th which is amazing after flying from Sweden two days before…
