IamMary come over here to Castletown House - that we are lucky to have on our doorstep. Tours of house are free and the Café has gorge grub..

The river Liffey runs through the grounds & Rosie loves to chase birds & have a dip.
MrS waded in to save her ( didn't need saving) one day during the Summer & dropped his phone.
2 weeks later I get a message to say a lady had found it in the water & dried it out in hot press with rice.
It worked for a few weeks - but the damage was done.

Yep! Windows ( 2 big sliders are replacing the walls and a load of windows) were supposed to arrive tomorrow, but Id say with this storm, itll be Friday at least. Kitchen arrives on Tuesday so its seriously tight, so much to do before then. I am totally sick of living in the hall now and the wind will probably take down the flimsy sheets of MDF later, serving as a wall!

Never thought of Castletown house, my buddy in work walks his dog there all the time. Hes an armature photographer and has some great shots around the grounds, it looks fabulous. Closed for the winter, but Id love to visit next year.
Ardgillian, close to Molly, does tours too, closed for filming at the moment - But we snuck down to the kitchens a few weeks ago, when we were having coffee. It was really dark and I told my daughter that I saw Mr Bates on a chair at the kitchen table (she wouldnt come close) - she nearly lost her life and took the stairs back up 2 at at time - I thought Id choke laughing.

Think I might be a wall person too. Mr M would be in Mollys gang.

Morning all ......
Being so precious to him (snigger!) - MrS said not to drive to the gym this morning in case of fallen trees. I didn't 'cos I couldn't listen to him going on & on.
Any other day I'd be delighted to stay in bed - but I was wide awake from 5:30. FFS !

YS has gone to Waterford & is settling in. 6 months is a long time..... but they say if he does it - it will be the making of him.

Good morning Satz and everyone else

Must be the storm, I’m awake from 5.30 am as well! Have an audio book so plugged that in and just lay here and relaxed. Luckily we still have power but some places in the area have lost it.

6 months will give young Satz a great foundation. 2022 will be a new start for him, new beginnings.

Not sure if I will get a walk in, wait and see how it turns out.

Re: December Army Thread with Extra tinsel and Joy

Greetings.................as I'm not sure if it day or night. I've got a frozen shoulder and where the jab went in the other arm doesn't half hurt and after nigh on 38 years of me complaining about Mr. JC's snoring like a train he's been digging in my ribs all night as I had to lie on by back so I kept getting nudge in the ribs.

satz123.................it'll be the making of him. He'll make friends for life.

Being this side of the Pennines we've had none of the horrendous weather they've had in the west for now anyway.

Crikey that place is gorgeous. :heartbeat:

Oh well done Molls. I thought you were going into 'Town Town' - now that'd be a nightmare ...... :egad:
Even though I LOVE Grafton Street if there is nothing to I HAVE to buy - just cruising around.

I was just watching a documentary on Ireland 'The way We Were' - you'd love all the old footage Molls ......
Hilarious how the shops have changed.
Clearys with that old yoke that used to take the money up to the office.

I was expecting to see a 10 year old me on Henry Street at Christmas going into Woolworths.
Or up in the Dandelion Market in the 70's in my hippy days ...

Well done on the shopping Molly. I'm a bit sick of the pavilions now, but have rediscovered Blanch! Every shop under the sun there.. I save up my tolerance for shopping all year and blitz it in a few go's.

Town is not the same as de olden days!

Are you snoring now JackieClaire??!

Are you trying a walk in Rustup? We are up from tomorrow I think. Actually today, quick.. Late for bed again.. X
