The booster lady I had was a graduate of the Nurse Ratched School of Vaccinations .
Just rammed it into my arm - FFS !
The two others jabs I had were given by HSE professional nurses and nice & gentle.
I'm convinced it's how its done rather than what is in it that causes problems .....

Afternoon everyone

On my lunch break. Place is crazy and has been the last two weeks. I am glad that tomorrow is my last day.

Mind you I might miss it as my SIL is going to the USA for the holidays and I have her two dogs for 3 weeks! Bolt hole in the west is becoming very attractive. My daughter is coming home Sunday which is great but the other one is going to a concert at the weekend so if she catches Covid we will all have it for Xmas. Not going to think about it. Going to decompress with Satz.

Cross posted there. Totally agree, I remember having blood drawn when pregnant and she was a vampire. Had it done loads of times before and after and none were like her. Could not release hand brake when driving home

Popping in to say nighty night
The poxy tree etc are up.
No bloodshed - but it was a close call.
I made the mistake of introducing new 'stuff' to the mix ... I bought those horrible outdoor icicle lights ..... MrS wanted them
BIG MISTAKE.

He drops everything else & out he goes ...... no plan how he's going to do the job of hanging the lights ....within minutes back door, front door, shed door all swinging open & he was on the ladder ..... Rosie was running wild up & down the road chasing imaginary squirrels.
.......then the questions started ?
What will I use to hang them?
Where is the tape?
Where is the Blue Tac?

I had my own lights projects indoors that i was now supposed to drop & go outside.

I went out ...... barked some orders ..... that he ignored.
The whole neighbourhood could hear us.
I then had to remove myself & Rosie and go back inside.

Mr DIY is is not. The lights are now hanging with big ugly lumps of tape holding them up ........

We have those ugly icicles lights too.. Next year with my new posh kitchen and newly painted house inside and out (it's on the Internet now so has to be done), ill get loads of classy decorations so we will look like a pinterest house -won't happen but I'll dream.
Why is work so mad Rustop, are people back in the office now?
I must try to get a nice gentle nurse to jab me this week. Apparently 11% of cases are omicron here now.. its going to be impossible to avoid..

Morning...getting jabbed today...
We did a foray into outdoor lights when we moved to this house...Lord Jesus....exactly as you describe benjy ..his job all important to hell with minor little details like inside and tree etc.. then a neighbour down the road turned his house into Vegas...so Joe stopped..he couldn't compete with that PTL!!

Off to work...got out my 2022 work calendar yesterday to plan a retirement date...scared the shit outta me...don't think I want to go at all...it was lovely being back in work....arrggghhh...cold feet for sure!

Morning and its a quick one as we're off to the optician. My left eye is playing up so I won't feel like a fraud. Looks like I've done a couple of rounds with a boxer.
We've got one house that has so many outside lights its nicknamed Southfork. Actually Vegas puts it better. Gawd knows what their electric bill will be.
Hopefully I won't be long and can come back and tell you I don't need an eye transplant.

They said 11% ......... one breath .... then a few minutes later 18 cases .... maths don't add up.
Truth is ...... how do they don't know ?...... they are not testing fully for it yet - FFS ! Wee PAul telling porkies again.
I'd say it's rampant & about to take off.
But as long as hospital figures are stable that's all that matters.
It seems the vacs are working to stop people getting too sick.

Got a slight infection in one eye and the other one's fine just very dry. I've got to put eye drops in at least 6 times a day and bless him,he put it on prescription and now I'm ancient (over 60) I get it free.

I honestly don't know what the figures of omicron are apart from we're overwhelmed by it but not to worry its mild........wtf does mild mean.......to be honest I've stopped listening. I wear my mask. I sanitize my hands and keep a distance from people I don't know.

What about a little shop like the couple on Father Ted, Molls.

Glad you got the eyes sorted JC. Lots of suggestions there Molly. Know you always said you preferred full time and yes you are not as much a part of things when only doing a day or two but it does get you out of the house. Nice little book shop sounds appealing.

We left the lights up all year. It’s a bungalow so we got a string of small bulbs, not very noticeable. Just have to plug them in, stops himself faffing around. We did have the stringy ones one year but they looked terrible on it as the house too low.

Getting eyebrows done after work and getting take away on way home as I am now officially on my holidays!

Great bout the eye jacks ...mine can be quite gritty when I read a lot..drops help that anyway..

I read all your suggestions and had a sort of EUREKA moment...like ..'course I want to retire'.
If I was 20 years younger I'd have loved that idea..actually fancied a coffee shop with a lending library in it...but no...now the garden and the boat and the swimming pier will be more than enough...glad I talked it through tho!!
