Re: January Army 2022
Morning and waves to the world,
techie.............how lovely to see you're going to be a Grandpa. :yay: Congratulation to you and your family. My son and his missus don't want to know the sex of their baby..................perhaps if its a boy we could do an arranged marriage.
I sometimes have a wander down the booze aisle and cannot believe the prices. No wonder it nearly put us in the poor house even though I bought the cheapest. Our corner shop used to sell 3 bottle for £10. I was never away from the place.
Himself is back to work today................trailed off like he was about sit a Chemistry exam.
Oh and he got his credit card was hacked. Luckily the bank jumped on it quickly and its all good now.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: January Army 2022
Afternoon everyone
Massive congratulations techie, wonderful news to start off the New Year.
I’m back at work too and unfortunately girl I job share with had Covid over the holidays and won’t be in for rest of week. I have been asked to cover. Said I would do the afternoons as himself is working from home and 5 dogs without walks would just be too much. That’s what I get for smugly skipping off this morning and leaving them to it. Karma.
What I’m amazed about is the amount of wine left over after the holiday, no way would that happen in my drinking days and I would have have bought double what I did get. Put it out in the garage and daughter can take a bottle in as needed.

This is not boasty boasty but check this out : not my cup of tea apart from walking out back door and you are ON the beach ...
SANDALS(R) Royal Barbados: All-Inclusive in St. Lawrence Gap
On your Question Molly, nope, cost would have zero bearing to me getting access to alcohol. I have drank some awful shite, cheap or disgustingly corked. I have also drained fruit flies from bottles of red wine. Classy.
Great news and congratulation techie! Lots of new beginnings already this year, babies and houses!
Back to the grind today too, chemistry exam feeling. Grand then after my 11th cup of tea. Much flip floping on the radio about kids going back to school and teachers not feeling safe (kids masked from 9 or 8 up) - but thankfully its back to normal from thursday. not sure how mine will cope, I had to wake them all at mid-day.
What has you bored Guitarista, you back in work too?Last edited by IamMary; January 4, 2022, 07:03 PM.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: January Army 2022
Hi Army sorry to have been missing. Congratulations Techie, new beginnings are wonderful.
Have had a good Christmas because my family have been so supportive. I came down with a bang after the holiday ,also have been in hospital with severe chest pain , which after all the tests concluded it was muscular.
Price or type of alcohol never put me off nor did the price of cigarettes.
Feeling a bit more normal today!

Re: January Army 2022
Afternoon everyone
Sorry to hear that you are unwell Brit but glad you got over the holiday ok. Beautiful sunny morning here, walked early and am going into work in the afternoon.
SIL’s little dog was very sick last night so my daughter had to bring her into work with her. She’s not home until 9 tonight so I had to go pick her up. If it is not one thing it is another. She’s fine now and had a pedicure, anal grands done and a wash and trim. Will be glad to hand them over, it is a responsibility when they are not yours.
