Now Greece.
What can I say I adore it. I've been every year - sometimes twice a year when I was rich - and love it.
Greek people are lovely. So laid back - they make us Irish seem hyper :haha:
The village we go to, Assos, has only 40 residents in Winter - then in Summer the kids come home.

Yeah Athens - & then fly to one of the Islands.?
We go to Kefalonia it's very quiet - maybe too quiet for the kids - but loads of water stuff for them - diving etc. VERY unspoilt. Gorgeous uncrowded beaches. You can literally stand in the sea up to your knees & feed the fish - they comes in hundreds.
And the goats still come down from the mountains at night & lie on the road for the heat. You are not in charge . You have to wait for them to move.

I loved Crete too. Fly into Chania which is a lovely - but busy - little town with loads of narrow streets.
We hire a car there for half nothing and take off down south to the beaches down there. Fab.

How wonderful to read about the race [MENTION=22411]IamMary[/MENTION]. There is NOTHING better than finishing. The self satisfaction, the elation. I love it. I’m currently training for a Tough Mudder (20K obstacle race) in June, and a Mount Rainer climb in ‘23. I may sit out of the Malibu Triathlon for the first time in a decade. Congratulations!

Afternoon all.
I'm tired just listening to [MENTION=11089]techie[/MENTION] and [MENTION=22411]IamMary[/MENTION] - I need a lie down. (I was in the gym at 7am this morning if that counts ?)
The bloody tree is only coming down today ....... this year I loved it and all the lights. I've decided to retain some of the delicate LED lights to add some ambience to the room
Weelll that's the plan A .... we'll see what they look like.

I took down all the bits earlier this morning & MrS is now there boxing them up :egad:
Myself & Rosie have taken refuge upstairs on the pretense of tidying up ....

Afternoon everyone

We only finished taking down stuff yesterday. Left the outside lights on until about February last year and will do the same this year. We need a bit of light and cheer.

Fab pictures of Greece, put the yen on me to go somewhere. Well done Mary and Techie on your runs and proposed runs.

Work today, keeping my fingers crossed that it is only the two days this week.

Decorations done here, but himself did the attic bit yesterday. It's possible that they will all come tumbling out on top of me, the next time I open it.
