They said she usually runs another trail so this is starting to make since, and there are sone heavily forested cut throughs to main road. Have a beautiful day folks. Jones, PLEASE check in!

Does this Sarah one realise that there's a bunch of alco's from all over the world, hoping to get to the bottom of her disappearing trick!

Thanks for the JR offer Rustop :haha:, we're a peanut butter family here, does the trick. Waiting for the click, off with your head!

Would be lovely to hear from Bridge. Anything could be going on over there. Anyone have her on Fb?

Where the Granny2be these days too? JackieClaire??

Loving Dopesick. Its on Disney, who don't seem to have an account limit, so my entire family uses my sisters account and all the inlaws on the other side too.. fantastic value!

Good morning, I have been having a rough time emotionally , but trying to be proactive and get out as much as I can, but I don't seem to be able to run as that is my go to "addiction cure".
I too am terrified of mice, we did have rats in the garden a few years ago which we managed to get rid of with horrible warfarin. Never saw any squirrels for a few years after that!!

Good morning everyone

Sorry you are going through a hard time Brit . Bummer not being able to run, fingers crossed that your injury soon heals. Went back to my Pilates class last night and it felt good to be moving again. Only 4 of us in the class and huge room so am comfortable with it.

Beautiful morning here again and had my walk. Going out now to do the weekly shopping, cupboards are really empty.

IamMary...................I'm here. Just got very low again in fact I'm still not 'right'. Luckily I start my talking therapy next Thursday.

brit..............would it help if you started talking therapy. NHS talking therapies - NHS

It takes some time, but they're really nice.

Best of luck with the hip, our Mollymoo. Must be six years since Mr. JC had his done and the other will have to be replaced in the future. But he's lost 3 and a half stone (that's 22 kilos) so it might not be as urgent as the last one.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Thanks JC, but she is now known as Sarah who is training. Several neighbors know who she is. It was a fun mystery for a while. Hope you feel better @brut. We can do a run together virtually. Sending hugs to all in need. Have a wonderful day you beautiful people. Blessings x

Evening all -- glad you resolved the mystery that was 'Sarah' -- usually the simplest solution is the right one!!
Sounds like you need a bit of support MrsA -- maybe what Jackie's talking about? Sorry to hear you are down too Jacks -- this time of year can be gloomy for the best of us -- can't help all the darkness really -- but the days ARE getting longer... loving that!

No news this end -- being uber careful of Covid as I don't want to have my operation cancelled -- but it sounds like any and all restrictions are going to be lifted in the next few weeks -- it'll be very strange I think!! Even the most careful 'by the book' sort of people at work are planning holidays etc.... can't WAIT for normality!

Watching some aul shite on the tele -- just want to go to bed and read my book really -- but it is only 7pm!!! laters gaters xx

Hola troopers,

Hope you have a better day and evening Brit.

Talking therapy sounds a great idea JC. Better out than in i say.

Mers, i don't have Ms. Jones on FB or any contact means other than an old email that i've tried a couple of times to no avail. But i'm sending thoughts her way everyday, so i reckon there's a better than even chance she's receiving the vibe.

Techie, regard's to Sarah.

Big waves to all.

Thanks for trying MeG techie what a disappointment Sarah the jogger turned out to be an 'ordinary' girl. And not some mystical creature

We are a very small country. Very sad here at present. A young 23 year old , just qualified teacher, was murdered at 4 pm in a busy area along the canal yesterday. She was just out for a jog after work.
The women of Ireland are nervous but also getting very very angry that they do not feel safe to even go out in daylight now.
The man who beat her & strangled her in broad daylight with others jogging on the far side of the canal was out on bail for serious attack on another woman and was 'known to police'
He was a complete stranger to her.

FFS!

Absolutely shocking it was. A lot of our female runners go out alone, as do I, but everyone is a bit shook after this.
brit, are you walking much? Is the the injury or the mojo that holding you back? Rustop will walk the legs off you, so post up your travels if you get a sec.

Guys here fixing up a few bits with the kitchen.. all good now, but they must have knocked off a pipe from the dishwasher and the whole place was fairly flooded. Luckily Mr M was home and got it sorted before much damage was done. I now know lots about plumbing dishwashers..

Good morning everyone

Absolutely heartbreaking, that poor girls family. My daughter runs too and goes out on her own and should be able to in broad daylight without something like this happening. It has touched every family in the country and what is more frightening is that they have not got him yet.

I walk on my own at 6 am the mornings I work, don’t really think about it and have been doing it for years. Do feel a bit safer having the big dog with me though. Crazy world we live in.

I must apologise to that poor man who was arrested. The police have cleared him completely. And are now looking for someone else.
I'm thinking now that someone killed her and that poor guy was trying to help her when seen by 2 other joggers.
He ran because he had previously been in trouble with the law.

This just makes things scary that a murderer is still out there.

So sorry to hear about this. There are so many gals that run alone here where I live. Typically, mountain lions and bears are the biggest concern but there is always the danger that a sick person sees this as an opportunity. My daughter runs alone a lot. I have encouraged her to find a running partner but she says I can’t allow fear to rule how zi live. I guess she is right. Have a beautiful safe day out there. Blessings x

Jesus .... techie BEARS & LIONS :egad:
And we worry about mice

Your daughter is absolutely right techie and that's why thousands of women took to the streets today against male violence and demanded something is done to make it safer for women.
A man killed that girl - because he could.......... that's the sad fact.
At the core of it is that men's attitudes to women are appalling & women have been brought up to just deal with it. They've had enough.
It's not all men - but it's always a man.

But I think it will have to start at grassroots with young boys being taught to treat girls with respect and young girls not accepting disrespectful behaviour.
It will be a long road....

Of course it's not all men and thankfully most men are respectful, kind and supportive of women and vise versa. But there's still an attitude among a few, maybe they grew up in abusive homes and porn definitely does not help.
Local vigils going on all over the country this weekend.

Dopesick is excellent. Just finished episode 4. It's on Disney or dodgy box.

Whistle stop trip to ikea tomorrow, if that's actually possible.. as I lose 3 hours in the plates and bowls. Imagine working there, I'd be late for everything with so much to diatract me.
