We'll never be mates - but hey ho !!

I was getting pissed off with my sisters giving out between us but letting me then to do the dirty work. My sister is very good at that. She'll think of things he's done that wouldn't dawn on me & of course I'd have to say something and end up the bad guy.
Well no more - they can fight their own battles. I won't be joining in any more backbiting.
Yeah I get that...I sometimes wish I'd kept out of it with the shenanigans of my sister's...but it was making my mum unhappy and I couldn't have that...still think once mum died I'd have cut them out anyway so not much difference...mind you when starting to pack up here I found a copy of a letter I sent the Wexford one saying that we should make an effort to be 'friendly' while mum was alive and she wrote back agreeing and then waxed lyrical about the weather for a whole page ....feckin nut job alright....well done anyway!

Cake sounds amazing...send us a pic jacks when it's finished.

Speaking of finished Mary....are you all done in the kit hen?

Morning all.
Having a lie-in today.
MrS is like a child - two days racing at Leopardstown ........... first time in 2 years.
I'm left with Rosie who is now so used to us here I hate to leave her - so I'm grounded apart from some class of a walk later :egad:

I have a craving for some liver for my din-din - LOVE liver ....... but MrS doesn't eat it so I only make on days he's out.
Just read that complete protein, especially good animal protein is v v important as we age for bones.
So win/win today inkele:

(is it wrong to get so excited about food ??)

Same scenario as mine Molls . And I think the same will happen when my Mam is gone.
They may be blood - but really we grow apart over years from when we were kids - we are totally different people. imvvho.
I'd imagine there is many a person holding on to a toxic relationship because of blood. It would be better for their mental health to just let go.
If they don't bring you joy ( or even warmth) f*ck them I say. Life is just too short.

Mary must be lost in that big extension - covered in Orange & Navy paint. :egad:

WHERE IS BJ?
WHERE IS STARTY?
WHERE IS STIRLS ?

Re: Februrary Army 2022

Morning,
I love liver but it has to be cooked by someone else........makes my stomach churn just thinking about touching it.

Got to be quick got a big shop to do and then get off to this surprise party. Luckily my cousin lives in a huge house so she can hide us all.

Just heard from the S&H they had another scan yesterday and know the sex of the baby. He wanted to know if we wanted to know....it was a resounding no from both of us. I want it to be a surprise.
It may have something to do with a friend's daughter being told she was having a girl and a baby boy popped out.

Right better get a wriggle on.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Has to be straight off the pan fried in sage butter - OMG !

Or baked with herb stuffing & Bacon ....
Or a la Molls as above.
I'll have to share with Rosie today ..............

I'm starving now ...........

Hola Army. I found out yesterday that the cancer has returned. I’m ok with it. I accept what is. I am just disappointed but it explains why I have struggled recently with running, biking, and longer recovery times and some pain issues. I have a biopsy scheduled on March 25th which will determine how aggressive it is. It was detected via 3T MRI and blood work. Ir was suggested I stay off the bicycle. I can do that but I will continue to run (moderately) but giving up the 50 mile ultra. As always, I appreciate the support of all my friends here at MWO. It is these things that really test our sobriety. Life throws us curve balls, but that’s just life. It is challenging but always good. That said, I assure you I’ll be fine. Love you all. Peace and Blessings x

Techie. You are an inspiration.
Unless your body tells you otherwise keep doing what you enjoy - it can only be good for you

The liver was yummy. Rosie devoured it. I still have my doubts about those dried nuts they all tell us to give dogs.
How can they be better for her than what I'm eating myself ?

I hate liver.
Kitchen is still dragging on. Glass roof arriving next week, Monday, but still loads of bits to finish. It's never ending. Especially when they stop for weeks at a time.
Perspective though.. techie, I'm so sorry to hear about the cancer. You are incredibly brave. I'll reread JackieClaire beautiful poem again, with you in mind.

And if we do ever get brit over for a run, your all doing it, new hips, old hips, ear trumpets and dogs

Night everyone

So sorry to hear about that Techie, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Here in the sunny south east. Lovely meal, lovely hotel and no sight of Molly s mad sister.

Have not had liver in years, brings back memories of my mother, must try and have it again.

Sorry Techie...damned cancer!! You sound very positive tho which is wonderful...correct me if I'm wrong but to my (limited) knowledge it is not the diagnosis nowadays that it was many years ago...so much they can do....hope I'm right xx

Delighted you're enjoying your trip Rusters ...and not a lunatic in sight?!!

I had an old world brown stew last night with mashed potatoes....beyond gorgeous...get tired of stir frys and hummus and pesto and healthy shite sometimes:happy2:

That kit hen is a bit of a marathon alright Mary but it will be worth it...thankfully both kit hen and bathrooms in new house at most need a lick of paint...don't think I ever want to go there again.

Hope your party went well jacks and morning all else!
