when she took Minnie out the conversation wasn't constantly about not how was she doing................. it was about the dog.

@JackieClaire forgot that bit. MrS in particular comes back with all sorts of stuff he heard from this & that person he met out walking Rosie.
If he didn't have Rosie they'd probably just say 'hello' & keep walking.
I wouldn't be as chatty as him but ....
On my short walk yesterday - I met my neighbour 2 doors away that I hadn't seen for months & we had a great chin-wag.
I also met an old man & got his life story after Rosie went up to him
.... it's quite amazing really.

Good morning everyone

Are you all still in bed? Sun is shining here and just had a lovely walk up over the waterfall. We usually avoid that area because of the crowds but this morning we were the only ones in the car park at 8 am so we took advantage. Met two men and a dog on the way back that was it. Big fella had a deer chase. He is miles behind them and comes back to the whistle but he certainly gets his exercise. Won’t be a peep out of him for the day.

Off to meet my crochet group for coffee and a stroll. Catch up with you all later.

I'm up, I'm up. Still not dressed been having a potter round.
Got a cake to bake for my Aunt's surprise birthday party tomorrow.
Mikey's nowhere near being let off his leash.
I've got a Talking Heads woman ringing at 11:30am................she's the one that decided that I didn't fit their criteria and would be better off with a counselor. Its going to be an interesting conversation today.

Max loves his 'pals' on the beach now..they run around madly...funnily enough there's some dogs he really doesn't like...usually small yappy ones and he goes back and stands beside Joe waiting for him to put the lead back on! Don't think it's fear...more intolerance of the racket...his vvvbf is an Irish wolfhound

What sort of cake you making Jacks...your trademark red velvet?

I'm up since 6:30am - did me 45 mins at gym class.
Now languishing before heading to my mother's house to do clean-up work there .....

I sent a long email to my brother that I was rowing with.
Told him exactly what I was feeling & that WhatApp can distort what is being said.
I said it had gone just too far & was upsetting. I offered to bury the hatchet as life is just too short.

He agreed that we'd gone too far based on the written word and we should start with a clean slate.
He sounded as relieved as I was to stop the bickering.
As long as my mother is still with us - the house is still there - we need to be civil to each other.

Rosie is quite choosy about who she'll engage with for 'the runaround'.

Yesterday a pup approached her - she looked down her nose as if to say "go way you brat" :haha:

I was in trouble last week because I hadn't filled in the feedback e-mail. Trouble was the title of the e-mail looked and smelt like a spam to me so I didn't open it and I junked it. She wasn't best pleased with that in a very polite way but I could just feel it.
It could be me being an awkward cow so she's sent me two other places that may help. She was lovely but I think (perhaps its the way of the world now) she liked things being ticked.

Although now Spring is springing I can feel my moods lifting.

Not this time........she'll have to wait until she's 90 for that.........its a velvet vanilla sponge...................basically a sponge cake with a large dollop of vanilla in it. Smells gorgeous. Will put a huge dollop of chocolate icing on it tomorrow.

Sounds lovely ....id love to bake something really tasty. Did lamb shanks in slow cooker today...they were lovely but a bit rich.

I just think that someone in her position should be very gentle and not wrong foot you first thing...it's hard enough building up courage when you're vulnerable...that's all...but maybe I'm just touchy!

So fed up being in this house....half an hour walking in circles just doesn't do it!

Just popped in to say goodnight.
We now have four layers for the cake..........2 are vanilla and 2 are chocolate...I got carried away...well she's only 80 once. She's worth it though. By lunch time tomorrow I'll be covered in icing and smarties.............god only knows how we're going to get the beggar to my cousin's house.
Cheated a bit and bought tubs of icing from Tesco and there's 4 tubes of smarties to go on. We'll be bouncing off the walls with over sugar intake.

You know its actually a relief to not have that woman ringing once a week. I had a fab alcohol counselor.........he was a young one as well. Saw him in town a good few years after I stopped drinking and he recognized me. We had a good auld natter about what I'd been up to.

Not really Molls. It isn't that I yearned for his company or anything - we grown apart in the years since we both got married. He's longer with his own lot than he was with our family.
We'll never be mates - but hey ho !!

I was getting pissed off with my sisters giving out between us but letting me then to do the dirty work. My sister is very good at that. She'll think of things he's done that wouldn't dawn on me & of course I'd have to say something and end up the bad guy.
Well no more - they can fight their own battles. I won't be joining in any more backbiting.
