That makes sense Jacks.
I work only at weekends - so I go from a quiet house 5 days a week to mayhem of staff, phone, residents +visitors ........... having to be nice, polite and talk takes its' toll:haha:

Re: Februrary Army 2022
Morning,
I'm stopping where I am. We're getting the bathroom done in May and Mr. JC is making noises about re-jigging the utility room and turning the garage into a small lounge. Our houses were built in the early 1970s when cars were smaller. We've got an estate car now and its back end would stick out.
Seems like a century ago when we knocked the cupboard out at the bottom of the stairs. I said.............'ooh look we can get fit a stannah stairlift now' . I was joking at the time. But time is fleeting.
satz123...............because I wear hearing aids adds to the problem with too many people talking at the same time. I would reckon 4 people is doable but get 30 people yakking its just a babble.
Daniel (my lovely ear trumpet expert) is seeing more and more younger people as the music we listen (or listened ) to is so loud................the rate of younger people needing ear trumpets has soared. I blame Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Led Zepplin (they were crap) and many more for mine.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: Februrary Army 2022
Evening everyone
No not easy Molly. I don’t think I have any hearing problem but between the screen around my desk and people wearing masks I find it difficult to hear people properly.
Working week over, so nice to come home in daylight. Feet up now watching Cornation Street. Also need to get some food.

Thinking of you all. I think when this is all done, there will be many negative consequences of the mask requirement. Our poor children. Have a great one. Blessings xOutside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

techie...............my darling daughter teaches Chemistry and Physics some of her kids can't wear masks for medical reasons, some twiddle away with them, some ping them at each other............she reckons its like a zoo. To be kind some of them wear their's properly. Her and her fiance are forever getting tested. Never had a positive and I should add..............yet.
They've stopped mandatory mask wearing mask over here.............excuse my language................but bollocks to that Mr JC and I still mask up in shops or crowded places. It could be worse, I could be filing.

mollyka................oddly enough because I'm obsessed with the the Tudors. When Henry the 8th could smell the Thames getting a bit acrid he'd up sticks and plonk himself outside of London and just front up at one of his pals as far as he could get.It could be worse, I could be filing.

And as for the hand hygiene - thank feck for that - when I'm told by carers where some hands have been .... 'nuff said .....
I used to think some of the nurses & carers were just pernickety - wouldn't eat a chocolate from a box unless they knew who opened them & where else they'd been - but now I understand.

Re: Februrary Army 2022
Evening.
Middle child tested positive yesterday morning, so there went our plan to protect her from youngest. It's coming at us at all angles.
Got them both PCRed today, just to have them logged officially, might help for travelling over the summer. Plus the antigens seem to take ages to turn up positive. Youngest has all the symptoms but negative.
Builders left yesterday, said they would be back when we were free. This shit could go on for weeks.
Mock exams will be sat at home this week.
Delighted to hear about YS satz123, you must be very proud.
My buddy in work will be selling his cottage in wexford soon. You'll get a fantastic price as it keeps flooding and you won't be able to insurance it :haha:
Masks are a nightmare for deaf or any sort of hearing issues. I've always had to put my glasses on to hear people!AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:
