Re: Februrary Army 2022

Good morning everyone

Was picking up the new car. Love that new car smell. Might as well enjoy it because it will be brief, doggies will see to that. Molly has gone west, wonder will she have internet, have not even checked that out regarding our place.

Hope you soon feel better JC. Is Mary out of isolation yet? What you got planned for your days off Satz? Apart from getting the car nothing too exciting happening around here. Well we have another storm promised.

Thanks for the support folks. BTW, I have tried plant based before and failed but I gave a bit more motivation this time. I will avoid folks grilling outdoors as much as possible. Have a beautiful day evening or night wherever you are. Blessings x

Brave move techie, you'll probably love it! Who's the cook in your house?

Day 8, so can escape if masked. Mild dose overall, but its trying to sneak down to my chest now, so not counting my chickens just yet.
Day off tomorrow, will do v little.

And the rest of the country is going bananas with no masks anywhere :egad:

The bit of excitement of a mad storm in Ireland fizzled out pretty pathetically. The media had built it up to a raging hurricane - schools closed - hatches battened down

Afternoon all

Same here. We went up over the waterfall this morning, lovely starting off, bit of a shower on the way back, no wind in sight. Hope it does not go into your chest Mary, enjoy your time off.

Fire on in stove, think it is going to be a crochet afternoon.

Guess who spent the night at A&E ( emergency room over the pond).........me. Look away now if you're squeamish...............started with me vomiting everything I'd eaten since Christmas. At around 9pmish Mr JC ended up calling an ambulance as the pains across my stomach were so bad. Think child birth. I have never had pain like it and hope never to have it again. I had scan, bloods done ,I was on a saline drip. They came up with nothing but I did get morphine...............I can understand how that could become very morish.

Now its all over I have to smile at two large paramedics, a trainee paramedic and Mr JC all gathered around me in our bedroom. Mr JC obviously came home and they released me at 7am. I'm dog tired. I do have to straight back if I get another attack.

Sorry all about me, me , me. But it didn't half frighten me.

Same here. The weather persons were predicting the end of the world more or less. Its as calm as mill pond.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Oh poor Jackie...did they give you any idea what it was...? A man I work with..big tough country man had gallstones about a year ago..said he never felt pain like it...he curled in a ball and cried...howled rather...could it be something like that?

Re: Februrary Army 2022

Anyways --- I'm home --- what a lovely little adventure down to our new home... it was so strange at first -- didn't feel like it was ours at all -- there's nothing in it -- literally nothing -- he virtually took the lightbulbs (well not QUITE) -- suited me tbh -- but as we only had the car we could fill and Max took up most of the back seat -- we only had very bare essentials -- nothing to sit on - and the limitation of the hip - I couldn't sit on the worktops OR the floor --- but it was fun... sorted out what works and what doesn't --- every appliance is NEFF ffs --- the fridge and the microwave are broken - so will replace the fridge as a built in and just a bog standard microwave - a brand new NEFF oven -- never used --- and a tasty hob -- we even have a tumble dryer -- never had one before!!! so yeah -- delighted with ourselves -- the gardens are much bigger than I thought -- they will take a lot of work to set up -- but -- that's one of the attractions so no moaning from me!
Internet may not be up to standard we have in Dublin -- but we will have it -- and hopefully Sky tele -- but don't need any of that just yet -- got the electricity sorted - and there's a bit of oil left so just top that up when we go down next... so yeah -- big couple of days!!!

Dog tired now and like the rest of youse -- WHERE THE FECK IS STORM EUNICE??? I got up to go to the loo at about 1.30 last night and there was a fair old covering of snow -- all gone by morning and we sailed home in sunshine --- oh to be a weather forecaster -- you can say anything you like!!!

That's it -- hope all your clan are on the mend Mary -- watch that aul chest... hearing rumbles of masks going soon -- oh I really really hope so --- hate them with a vengeance!!! Sounds very extreme Techster -- make sure you have the whole system balanced yeah??

Right -- it's good to be back xx

mollyka......so excited for you both. A blank canvas for the pair of you. Honestly taking the blinking light bulbs. What a knob. I know from Mr. JC that people do the weirdest things when they move. I've got two hamster cages and a goldfish tank in the loft...........you can have them for free.

Felt exactly like gall stones.....its worse than child birth..............but remembered I'd had mine out about 10 years ago. Apparently the pain I was in could have originated in my heart according to the doctor but after a good auld scan its champion. My bloods came back and they were all clear. When you're sat in a room on your own for what felt like months my brain went into overdrive I'd nearly convinced myself a) I was dying b) a new strain of covid c)my drinking days had crept up and finished off my liver...........none of those. I shall get a full report from my GP in due course.............so that'll be about October. I've been pulling little sticky things off my body where they had me wired up to everything apart from the hospital heating system.
Its wiped me out and I've tbh been rather tearful all day. The nurses, doctors everyone were working their butts off and still smiled.

Just peeped through the blinds and Eunuce isn't here.

Must go they've put Lional Ritchie special on BBC4.

That was Dramatic JackieClaire! Gallstones were my first thought too. It wasnt nothing. Food poisoning? Id say your exhausted.

More excitement for you too Molly! so all the appliances were left, thats good! when is the big move?
I got neff stuff too. The oven has this self cleaning setting that cremates all the dirt - check yours out! Its still too clean to use, but Im getting there.

Well we have plenty of weather here today, more in the afternoon. Watched from my bed, he and me, like a pair of excited children. Its even snowed, for a minute.

Woke up with aches and pain's. Its still lingering. Did a food shop and had to lie down, so frustrating. Exactly satz123, no more masks and looks like testing is being dumped too. Is it just a case of ignoring it and it will go away?
Absolutely sick of it now, so bring on the end.

That's a weird one - I mean we've only so many organs inside us - has to be one of them eh?
What about kidney stones ?
Then again I'm sure they've checked all that.
Sometimes people get weird things & they never find out what it is. Just a passing virus or something.
Like DD was in hospital for a full week a few years back with stomach pains - never got to the bottom of what that was either & it never came back.

Bright side : you had a thorough check-up of heart, bloods etc and all is in order - that's always reassuring non ?

Morning.
IamMary.....................I don't do things by halves and the curtain twitching round here goes up to mega nosyness.
satz123...........The doc while he was doing my scan would have checked out the kidneys..............I'm assuming here. They took enough bloods to fill another human being. And you're right I was and am very reassured that every thing was okay. Luckily they didn't do a brain scan.........they'd have found nothing.

While I was waiting I was placed in my wheel chair beside a lad in his mid 20s...................blood all over his face and half a nail (one that you use to hammer not the end of his fingers) sticking out of his head and as drunk as a skunk.

We've got a DeLonghi microwave does every thing apart from hoovering and cleaning the bathroom. Tbh we only use to de-frost or warm up stuff.

Off to see another therapist this aftie. He does hypnosis as well.

I did have a thought that Molls should get some hens...............then another thought that Max might think his mummy had bought him some moving chew toys.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Have a good visit with therapist JC be and hope you are over whatever it was. No doubt you will sleep well tonight. Seems exhaustion is a side effect of covid Mary, hope you are soon over it.

Wow your cottage sounds lovely Molly. Bet Max will love it even without the moving chew toys.

Lovely walk this morning. Puppy sitting at the moment while daughter is out running.
